I've looted 2 within 8 nets now, one from the River Mouth Fishing Hole and one from the Burning Ascent Fishing Hole
(both in Waking Shores, Tuskarr rank 15 required to see the Lava Fishing area though I don't know if you can set up a net before that)

I have 2 of these. I actually fished up a Pépite de draconium as well, which isn't that what these are for making?

Note: I am at Renown 16 with the Tuskar at this point.

I am Tuskarr renown 10 and just netted this, so it appears you just have to have nets unlocked to loot, but level 15 renown to use this.

I looted 2 of these from lunkers within a few minutes of each other on my fresh level 70 mage at renown 4 with Iskaara. (I don't even have a harpoon on this toon. I was just tagging them and looting them while other people harpooned them.) My main toon is at renown 15 with Iskaara. (Not sure why my comment is being downvoted. Feel free to tell me why.)

These are for the second (blue) upgrade. Tavio will only show the second upgrade AFTER you've gotten the first (green) upgrade.

I already have all the fishing upgrades from the Tuskarrs and I think these are not used for anything else :\ still getting them very often from nets

Am I the only one, started fishing week 1, who has been using the nets at fishing holes EVERY DAY, and has never even looted 1 of these wires?

I'm up to level 19 renown and still don't have the option at Tavio.

Will this improve the nets we use during 'river rapids wrangler' quest or is that a pipe dream, seems catching 40 fish on that rapids achievement has been elusive for me, i was HOPING someone would say "YEAH this helps that achievement" but I am 100% sure it doesnt ... :( but maybe someone with an improved net could advise ? You would have to try try it to see
