I talked to a GM because he doesn't drop the key.

I found out you have to complete every quest in Redridge and the very last quest you get will make him drop the key.

Then the only thing behind the door is another quest.

Not an instance or anything.

the quest is dark tower its giving to you after u kill general fanghorn!

Coords for General Fangore (dropping this key) are at approx 67 30 - in the cave.

I've checked this out, to open the warded gate you need the actual key.

Now we went and killed the NPC, however it didn't drop.

I suspect the key is a drop from the questline, that you pick up in Lakeshire at the town hall.. it's somewhat long but I beleive that's how you aquire it.
