There appears to be a hidden effect associated with this food item. Taking damage has the potential effect of making you grow larger and flash red and white. It seems like all of the new 300 food items have a special effect associated with it as well.

My experience with this is that it will make you grow larger and flash blue, regardless of faction.

The way the hidden buff works, is that when struck, you will grow a little and flash a color. The more times you are consecutively struck, the larger you will get and the more you will flash, until after about five procs you max out. You'll stay at the max as long as you keep being struck, otherwise the effect will only last a few seconds and you'll return to normal. The proc occurs regardless of the amount of damage or level of the opponent; they just have to hit you.

Effect is triggerable for the duration of the food buff.

I've found that if you don't mind a mastery buff, it's not a bad tanking option, as it makes you very easy to find.
