Caught these for the garrison Fishing daily at, The Boneslag (about 45, 49), fished enough of the Fire Ammonite in about 12 minutes even at only 518 fishing with a fishing rod and lure.

You can collect Fire Ammonite Eggs by fishing up Fire Ammonite fish and then "Gut and Clean" when you receive 10 big ones or 20 little ones.

Location for File Ammonite pools are scattered throughout WoD, and are found in lava pools. Careful, the fire is hot!

To clarify: you need to fish up the fish then "use" them to create the meat. This gives you the eggs. Might be beneficial to always have 20 or more of the fish on hand so you don' have to farm them up every single day.

If you have more than 10 eggs you can put the rest in the bank and they will not be used!

The is a small lava pool at 50,58 that spawn Fire Ammonite School, while fishing you will get couple of Appât à ammonites de feu, which will increase the change to get Fire Ammonite when there is no school. Remember that you will have to use 10 Fire Ammonite fish in order to get the eggs! I had to fish 20 Fire Ammonite to get the 10 eggs.

You get these by filleting Petite ammonite de feu, Ammonite de feu or Ammonite de feu énorme, which can be fished up in Frostfire Ridge.

(you can sell your surplus (over 10) to the nearby vendor, and buy them back after handing in the quest)

Save your extra fish eggs: before complete the daily fishing quest, you can mail the extra eggs to your alts, they can also use it for the quest, or just sell the extra eggs to the vendor, after completting the quest you can buy it back.

If you have Fishing Shack in your Garrison, you can fish them in the lake. lv1=Petite ammonite de feu lv2=Ammonite de feu lv3=Ammonite de feu énorme.

The Fire Ammonite is best caught in lava, not water. See my screenshot.

Tried to bypass the fishing and bought the fish.. With as many as I bought and with no eggs produced I do believe you actually have to fish these up yourself instead of using the AH shortcut.

-bought them since the quest turn in would finally put me at the 700 skill level, just didn't want to spend the time fishing at that moment.. C'est la vie.

After traversing most of Frostfire, I happened on a rare - Pale Fishmonger - @ 25.88 (southwest corner on the coast). Killing this rare gave me 19 fire ammonite ! Baddabing - baddaboom ((note - AH is definitely easier, but cruising Frostfire was more fun))

I came here to find out where to fish these slippery guys. I fished them up in Frostfire Ridge, I suggest near Magmarok, in the lava pools.

It might be note worthy to mention that the eggs will not be actualy in your bags so check your quest log to see if you got them. I have been fishing all over frost fire and didn't notice that I already had the eggs. must have fished like over an 100 of all 3 types gut clean so on ect ect. yes I should have paid better attention but for us OLD players , well you get the Idea. In closeing hint, chatch /gut/clean then check quest to see if you have them then save the rest.
