Anyone know if the CD reduction is 39% (as per the item's tooltip) or 17% (as per the spell's tooltip)? Obviously it may still be subject to change, but it would be useful to get an idea for now.

Got this last night as a fury warrior, this is going to be insane on AoE fights as you can Bloodbath+Bladestorm every 42 seconds with it.

My only Concern with this trinket, is that it un-syncs the cool downs of skull banner and recklessness. I've been playing around with simcraft in an attempt to figure out how best to use my cool downs with this but I am not sure it sims correctly. For now at least it appears it will be beneficial to hold you recklessness until you have skull banner up, I'll update you with the next release of simcraft.

Edit: Update on the Recklessness Front. It is apparently best to use recklessness off cooldown still, You should wait and use them together for when you are entering execute phase with your 2nd Potion and BL however to get one last big cooldown burst at the end of the fight. Obviously this is assuming a tank and spank situation, it will play out differently depending on the fight.

Although its true potential comes from maximizing the abilities that have shorter cooldowns in a raid environment...

This trinket is phenomenal for Proving Grounds! Especially those stuck attempting Endless 10+ or higher. As a Warrior, Tier 4 and 6 become available up to 2x per round for the times you're barely gunna beat the timer on Endless Mode, in addition to the 5084 Strength every round even at the scale down 463 item level (45 sec after the 10 sec buff wears off, 55 sec total), assuming you proc it each time its available. When your potential is limited to a max of 463 gear in Proving Grounds (Challenge Modes too), the only thing better than pure luck is this trinket.

If you are a Ret Pally and got the Clemency talent the trinklet will not reduce the cooldown of Hand of Protection and Hand of Freedom but will still work on the cooldown of the other 4 abilities.

On the other hand if you have the Unbreakable Spirit talent it will stack with the trinklet and reduce the cooldown of Divine Protection (22.2 sec) and Divine Shield (1.85 min).

After getting this trinket as a fury warrior, i assumed that the bloodbath/bladestorm combo would be amazing. But later i realized the ultimate way to use this trinket in AOE situations. Shockwave loses 20 second of its cooldown when it hits 3 or more enemy units. And with the trinket, the actual cooldown in 28.4 sec. So with Shockwave, you get a stun every 8 seconds in moments with multiple targets. And if the target is stunnable, the target will be stunned half the time since the Shockwave stun lasts for 4 seconds.

Assuming neither the trinket nor the spell Shockwave gets changed/nerfed, this is the best way to go on bosses like Galakras and in pretty much every trash situation.

I would like to add something very relevant to everyone interested in this trinket (pointed out by another user on the Heroic Warforged version of this trinket)

The math behind this trinket, IS NOT multiplication. It is dividation. So say you have the normal flex version, which is 35%. That does not mean (CD time x 0.65) - The math works in the way of (CD time/1.35).

Effectively this works out to be worse, and the difference between the two supposed ways of math (If you were assuming the first case vs the second one), is a difference of 20 seconds if you are speaking of a 3 minute cooldown.

Very handy information for anyone interested in how this trinket actually works and how you are to manage your timings with it.

I'd like to not ruin it for everyone if it gets Hotfixed, but the way Warrior's Shockwave's existing cooldown is reduced by a flat amount of 20 seconds, when hitting 3+ targets, rather than lowering the cooldown by 50% from 40 seconds to 20 seconds when hitting 3+ targets...

Trinket takes the base cooldown of 40 seconds for Shockwave and increases the cooldown recovery rate by 50% when 2x upgraded... That gives Shockwave a perminant cooldown of 26.6 seconds. Now if that same Shockwave happened to hit 3+ targets, a flat 20 seconds is subtracted from the active cooldown with or without the trinket, leaving you with a grand total of a 6.6 second cooldown on Shockwave if having Evil Eye trinket equipped. (Still have a global cooldown as usual though).

Meaning:
-Shockwave base cooldown: 40 seconds
-Trinket increases rate at which ability cools down by 50%
-Shockwave now available every 26.6 seconds w/ trinket 2x upgraded
-Hitting 3+ targets subtracts a flat 20 seconds from Shockwave's already reduced cooldown, calculated based on current cooldown upon use of ability.
-Shockwave ready to go after 6.6 seconds
-Less the unavoidable 1.5 sec global cooldown, you will have a 5.1 second waiting period between shockwaves, which itself is a 4 second stun on crowd-controllable mobs/players, leaving literally just 2.6 seconds between when the stun wears off, and when you can shockwave again! (Don't forget diminishing returns if you need the stun and not just the damage)

**insert own mental image of yourself spamming Shockwave back to back to back to back during add-heavy boss fights** and smile.

GRANTED not many are going to have the Heroic Warforged 2x Upgraded version anytime soon, even the normal-mode 2x Upgraded trinket brings the cooldown of Shockwave to an insanely low number due to the way hitting 3+ target removes a flat 20sec off the already reduced cooldown.

Should add that through target dummy testing, this is not necessarily an exploitative DPS gain. The loss of a Global Cooldown every time this is used means that's 1 less whirlwind you could have done for higher damage, and the diminishing returns on stuns means after a few shockwaves the target becomes immune to stuns temporarily, but the 0 rage cost of this every 6.6 seconds makes it insanely good. A 40 second cooldown reduced to 6.6 seconds because of a trinket!

I have this trinket with 2/2 upgrades it says 50% CD but yet as a frost DK my pillar of frost that is a 1min CD normally is only a 40 second cooldown. Maybe my math is off but isnt 50% of 60 second 30 seconds?

the math seems to work as follows for dps cooldowns
we'll use pillar of frost as the example

pillar of frost lasts for 20 seconds and is on a 60 second cool-down

we can express this as a fraction
20/60
or in lowest terms 1/3

our trinket reduces our cooldown recovery rate by 50%
1/3 *1.5
1.5/3
or
1/2

convert ratio back for the buff to remain at 20 seconds
20 seconds of buff
40 second cool-down.

Probably one the most overpowered equip effects ever created, expect it to be used at least well in to level 100 due to being time-less from scaling, unless they set a limit.

I thought about this trinket for timewalking and even the mythic warforged only reduces the recovery rate of 9.62 for bc and 11.90% for WotLK. is that still considered useful?
