First question that might come to your mind: How can a consumable item possibly have gem sockets in them? What purpose can those sockets serve?
More importantly, how can you put gems into an egg without breaking it?

I'm very intrigued to find the answers to these questions in the upcoming days of beta.

Oeh, Death knight only, with the Lich King costume set, plus this, i can see some very interesting things happening, and yes how can consumables have socket slots, unless Wowhead doesn't have a categorie to really know where to list it yet

Dropped from a chest after killing a rare mob in Ashran. On use it will freeze all enemy player on the main road.

This is one of 3 Epic quality items that can be found in Ashran that is can be used to CRITICALLY turn the tide of a current battle. This item can also be bought and sold on the AH. It should be noted that if multiple people have this item, they can be chain spammed if you really wanted to.

All 3 crazy Ashran items and effects are:

Parchemin d'invocation de Yu'lon, le Serpent de jade - 100% Health & full dispel for all friendly players on the entire middle road in the zone
Cor perdu de Nesingwary - Damages & knocks up enemy players on the entire middle road in the zone (+ fall damage)
Œuf de wyrm de givre - Damages & stuns (for about 4-5 sec) enemy players on the entire middle road in the zone

Only one Frost Wyrm can be active at a time on the Road of Glory in A’shran. If one is already active when you finish the cast you will get an error message informing you of just that, so you will have to wait until the active one has finished its run before you can summon a follow-up.

It goes out of its way to tell me that it is only usable in the Road of Glory, then a second time that it can only be used in Ashran (in case I didn't know where the Road of Glory is). And that the effect lasts for 30 seconds. Oh, but if it's PVP combat, then the effect only lasts 8 seconds.

My question: under what circumstances can I use this item in Ashran, on the Road of Glory, but not be engaged in PVP combat? What is the point of telling me it lasts 30 seconds for non-PVP?

Patch 7.0.3 disabled use of items in instanced PvP, including A’shran. As such, this item no longer has any function.
