This summons a stampede of Hemet Nesingwary's pets, who will charge from the friendly base across the zone toward the enemy base. Any nearby players will be punted high into the air and take a small amount of damage.

The range for the punting is very large - being anywhere near the main pets when they charge past will cause you to be knocked way up into the air. This mostly serves to disrupt you, preventing you from using most abilities and allowing the enemy faction to press forward in your absence.

The pets:

Most of the beasts charge in a group, with some flying overhead, while Gibby trails behind.

In beta this baby had a 1 hour cd, but so many people obtained the horn that it was going off every minute sometimes. So Blizz changed it to a consumable.

Except in the usual oversight, they forgot to amend the tooltip to say this. So let me guess, some of you bought your horn on the ah, used it, seeing the "1 hour cd" on the horn, but then it disappeared. And you aren't happy you forked out 3k for it. Amiright?

At least the Sadists have been mostly weeded out of the Dev pool, so we can just chalk this one up to "Oops, we forgot to change the tooltip. SORRY, but you aren't getting a refund for the 2 weeks of gold we just cost you." which is another way of saying minor niggling incompetence.

So don't buy eet, just loot eet and use it only when the enemy is uber-bunched up.

This is one of 3 Epic quality items that can be found in Ashran that is can be used to CRITICALLY turn the tide of a current battle. This item can also be bought and sold on the AH. It should be noted that if multiple people have this item, they can be chain spammed if you really wanted to.

All 3 crazy Ashran items and effects are:

In my stampede, I have Kroshik and a direhorn named Stompy. I came to Ashran for the first time yesterday and I am certain Hemmit got the idea for those two from me. I'm going to have a talk with him later.

Patch 7.0.3 disabled use of items in instanced PvP, including A’shran. As such, this item no longer has any function.

I had one of these in my bags (for no particular reason) all the way through the end of patch 8.1.5. But today 8.2 released, and when I logged in, it had vanished. So it looks like as of 8.2 Blizzard removed this item from players' bags.
