Although the map indicator will suggest this item is in the depot itself, it is actually in the second car of the train, very noticably stuck in the top of a box by the first trash pack.

The quest hotspot on your minimap might mislead you.

It's found in the middle of the second train car (the rear cars). It'll be in your natural pathway as you progress between the first and second bosses.

I am very sorry for any confusion here. First off, do be aware this is a heroic quest, so it will only be in a heroic run. It's not in the depot, but in the second car of the train.

If you don't pick up this item while on the train, you can find it among the wreckage after the end cutscene.

If you do pick up the axe and it despawn after the 24 hours duration despawn, you will be unable to turn in the quest, and unable to pick it up again before you disband the quest.

- I just tried to complete the quest after having picked up the axe previous without killing last boss, when I went to kill the boss 2 days later, I was unable turn the quest in, despite it was shown as completed. I went in to try and pick up the axe again, but I was unable to take it again, while it was shown as completed.
