As of current patch, you can now trade in a Secret d'ingénieur de Draenor for a Petite bourse de pièces with the engineering NPCs in Stormshield (Sean Rouable), Warspear (Nik Rondacier), Lunarfall (Zaren Hoffle) or Frostwall (Pozzlow).

The gold yield from Petite bourse de pièces is pretty low though: about 1-3g.

I just got one of these from a Gardien ombrépée in Sunwell Plateau. Very odd.
