Your basic camera, Appareil photo P.R.O.F.I.L., is rewarded from the new mission Enquête de terrain.

Kit d'amélioration pour objectif P.R.O.F.I.L. is a reward from Objectif nul. It upgrades your camera to the epic toy Appareil photo P.R.O.F.I.L. Mod.II.

The upgraded camera comes with 3 special filters:

: Enables a sketch filter for your S.E.L.F.I.E. Camera.
: Enables a black & white filter for your S.E.L.F.I.E. Camera.
: Enables a death filter for your S.E.L.F.I.E. Camera.

Other spells associated with the camera:

: Frame the perfect shot and take a selfie!
: Exit selfie camera mode.

I still don't understand the concept behind hating selfies. It's a way of cataloging your appearance for the day, a way to say "I think I looked good today" (the three-way rhyme wasn't intended). It's fun, and it should be embraced. And, in contrary to popular belief, it is, in fact, possible to take a selfie without doing a duckface. Stop hatin'!

If you're having problems with your filters not displaying properly, this may be because you have effect glows (such as the death effect, alcohol's blur, and general bloom) turned off. Try typing the following into your chat pane:
/console set ffxGlow 1

To turn your glows back off once you're done playing with your filters, do the same thing but in reverse:
/console set ffxGlow 0

And if you really want to get fancy about it, here's a macro that will let you toggle between the two states at will:
/run SetCVar("ffxGlow",1-GetCVar("ffxGlow"))

These should all work as of patch 6.1.0 (19678); the ability to turn off bloom and the other effects is occasionally removed during PTR/beta builds but at least so far, we've always been able to get them to turn it back on. Good luck!

If you had camera issues after leaving selfie cam.

After you leave selfie camera and your change view in/out and camera in/out doesnt work properly afterwards.

Just log out then back in it should reset all mouse and home/end camera views back to normal.

Experimented on 2 toons. even after I assigned new key functions and /ui reload it didnt fix anything until I actually logged out then back in.

Otherwise everything worked fine for me.

If you were lucky enough to have issues as I did hope this helps.

In case you are one of those people that didn't get yet follower mission to acquire this item, it is ok as it appears randomly like other missions. Be patient and it will be on the list eventually.

Level 90 players can still win this item while in the WoD 10-Days free trial. However, at least in my experience, it needs a level 100 follower in order for the quest to appear.

I got the chance within 165 garrison missions, but as others mentioned, it is completly random.

Appareil photo P.R.O.F.I.L. Mod.II is a toy, however the basic version Appareil photo P.R.O.F.I.L. is not so if you want this for your alts, pick a character that already has an established Garrison, and complete both garrison missions for the basic item and the upgrade kit, which you can then add as a toy, and as with most other toys, becomes account wide to use on all characters.

I took a break from the game just after WoD launched, and came back for Legion, came up to the achievement Photographe de terrain and really didn't want to go through the Garrison quest chain on yet another character. Thankfully, by upgrading the item to MKII, it became a toy and allowed me to go about my photography business as planned! For clarity, the missions you need to complete in your Garrison are:

Both missions are also 100% completion chance, so any follower will be able to complete them.

It would appear that in a recent patch the character no longer looks at you when you rotate the camera. That, and I can see the camera in the top left of the screen poking through a bit. Oh dear.

To unlock the new filters, take selfies with the following bosses while near or in combat with them.
Filtre terres de Feu - Ragnaros in Terres de Feu.
Filtre Deuillegivre - Le roi-liche in Citadelle de la Couronne de glace
Filtre sha - Sha de la peur in Terrasse Printanière
Filtre Crépuscule - Cho’gall in Le bastion du Crépuscule
Filtre Argus - Argus l'Annihilateur in Antorus, le Trône ardent

There is alternative way to get this:
Arielle Snapflash(Aliance) / Vivica Starshot(Horde) would give you the quest Light Camera Action which rewards S.E.L.F.I.E. Camera + the upgrade as next quest. The upgrade will give you the toy Camera to the Mk II

As of Shadowlands prepatch, your character doesn't make faces and can't pose with emotes while using this. Get some bug reports going for a fix!

Broke the game. Used the camera in Ohn'aran Plains to get a picture of a Glade Ohuna while the Low Hanging Fruit quest was up. No camera action bar; the Low Hanging Fruit button is up. Can't get out of Selfie pose, can't hearth, /reload doesn't work, etc. I guess I'm stuck here until the daily quest is gone.... @#$@#$ !
