While I have not personally been able to get these to drop, I was told that they can drop from the Axebeaks. I will test this out asap by annihilating them and seeing if any eggs drop.

Update: I killed greater axebeaks up near the diretusk hellboars over by Vol'mar and some of them dropped the eggs.

I got one to drop while I was doing an objective in Ruins of Kra'nak. Not sure where it dropped from because I saw it later but there were axebeaks there so guessing from there. I won't be looking for them though because the only thing to make with it is a food that doesn't give extra stats and can already make plenty of that already. But it was nice to discover something new :)

2 Dropped from: /way 48.31 62.60 Greater Axebeak (3 sitting on a log).
1 Dropped from: /way 49.27 62.59 Greater Axebeak. (2 sitting on tree branch).
1 Dropped from: /way 50.55 62.25 Greater Axebeak. (Loner on ground-eating a tanaan blood orange).

These five took 2 minutes, so they dont seem all that hard to find, or drop, every 2nd or third bird on average.

Its only use appears to be making Omelette gangrenée au jambon, which was WoD's fast cooking training method. With the BFA profession changes this is less useful unless you really need some Draenic-era food.
