I had this directly deposited into my Horde character's bags upon logging in. It's meant to be a quick means of returning Orgrimmar for Legion : Le retour de la Légion, but as I had an easy means of reaching the place already, I chose to not use it to see if I'd be able to keep it after quest turn-in. Nope.

So don't bother trying to hang onto it as a souvenir; may as well get some mileage out of it.

Got this when leveling my Hunter. I now have completed all quests (Only have World Quests) and the item is still here. It is on a 10 second CD and drops you off right where the Legion Dalaran portal is. It is basically a no CD hearth.

I faction changed my level 110 rogue from Alliance to Horde. I had already completed the Alliance-equivalent Legion : Le retour de la Légion, however upon faction change I found Legion : Le retour de la Légion in my quest list, complete with the Pierre de portail d'Orgrimmar in my inventory.

This is essentially a free Orgrimmar portal. Very useful in Legion, especially when the Dalaran portal is on cooldown, since there is a portal to Dal in Orgrimmar right next to where this takes you.

There doesn't seem to be an immediate benefit of doing completing the quest, so if anyone else is in my situation, my advice is to hang onto this valuable item.

Stealth nerfed in Patch 8.1.0 to have a 2 Hour cooldown, up from 10 seconds.

Ok, now you realised you lost your 10secs heartstone and is willing to get your Dalaran one.

Than you go and talk to Holgar Stormaxe and before turning in the quest you accept the skip option.

Now you get in Dalaran and nothing happens.

Gave up, talked to the Inkeeper in New Dalaran's Center, in order to grab this Dalaran's Heartstone.

Wowhead currently indicates that the Pierre de portail d'Orgrimmar is a "Reward from" the quest Legion : Le retour de la Légion. It is NOT a reward, it is a quest item and as of July 2019 it will STILL disappear if you turn in the quest. I tried this on a mage (who can port to Org already) to see if something has changed in the past 3 years, and the stone disappeared after turning in the quest.

If you have already completed the Legion introductory questline on one toon, you can keep the stone on another toon: go to Holgar Hache-foudre and instead of turning in the quest, choose "I've heard this tale before... <Skip the Legion introductory quests and start your journey in Dalaran.>"

The stone has a cooldown of 2 hours and will take you to the Cleft of Shadow, rather than to the new portal room beneath the gates of Org.

As of December 22, 2019 talking to Holgar Stormaxe and choosing to skip without turning in the quest The Legion Returns will auto complete the quest and remove the Orgrimmar Portal Stone from your bags.

As of 8.2, you still get this item, but it returns you to where the old portals were located, in the Cleft of Shadow, instead of the new Portal Room.

If you are on an alt and skipped the Broken Shore scenario, you can get the quest and this item back from Archiviste Elysiana in Dalaran Violet Citadel. Untrack the quest, but leave it unfinished to keep the hearthstone.

You cannot do this on boosted 110 characters, demon hunters, or if you already did the scenario on the alt.

As an example of how far this game has been dumbed down, I have 6 hearthstones/trinkets/etc. excluding this one. When did you ever think heaethstones would clog up your bags ? Not going to try keeping this one.

Unobtainable now, apparently. I no longer obtain the stone when I accept the quest.
If you still have this on your characters, KEEP IT !
Thanks to the prepatch, we can no longer obtain a free hearthstone to orgrimmar.

Only works for a few of my characters, but not for most. I can't figure out what the conditional is that prevents it from working. The Stormwind version works for all my alliance characters. Not sure what is going on. I'm going to hang on to it just in case it ever gets fixed.
