These both scare and excite me... I'm excited because I'm starting to get near the end of my pet-collecting and pet leveling, upgrading everything to rare, getting all the ones I can, etc, and I was worried what I would do after, since I'm not really into pbPvP, and they can only add so many pets in Legion. Scared because this means that I need to collect (no joke atm, and will likely be more after Legion hits) 700 of these suckers... O.o

As someone with ALL rare level 25 pets, the idea of a whole new rarity level is terrifying.

This will cause most pet battle content to be trivial. More powerful pets doesn't equal more content

No no no no! This is a horrible idea! I can not imagine working on upgrading my 700+ rare pets to epic quality. Then on top of that the bags containing these stones are gonna cost 200 Pet Charms? WTF? I do like collecting the adorable pets but I also have a life outside of WoW. If they implement this I think I will throw in the towel on all things battle pets...

If they throw this in the game, we will all be forced to farm these epic stones.
Let's face it. The content will be tuned to epic quality b.pets.
Suggestion: considering how many pets we have already (700+), please Blizzard do not make epic stones cost twice than blue stones: +20% than blue is correct cost imo. Just add more events like Celestial Tournament that reward one epic stone weekly and make these events doable for every alt once a week.

The only way this does not terrify me is this becomes purely cosmetic. Different types of breed has different effects. Sparkelly or running on a path of rainbows or flowers. This would be the equivalent to golden foil card in hearthstone.

Blizzard may have just announced this and it's not even the first time it's been mentioned. The thought of releveling all 753 pets (plus the new ones in legion) isn't busy work or fun, it's daunting.

Another thing, when was the last time you have used much less seen a polished battle-stone. (Leveling stone to common). Stepping stone leveling with pet battles is pointless. This will make Rare Stone irrelevant.

Anal retentiveness aside, there's no real reason you'd need your entire pet collection to be epic. Upgrade just the important pets/ones you use to battle to epic, leave the rest at rare. Personally, I'm excited to be able to finally have epic pets because I realize that I don't need to use a stone like this on every single pet in the game.
