I was on PTR around the desolate islands south-east of the broken shore(only visible on the world map, not zone map), when I saw a rare turtle on the farthest island named Carapace infernale After killing it (after dying once because I was not expecting it to oneshot my pets then me) it dropped this item.

Dropped from a rare named Hell Shell (not in wowhead yet?)... mod melee's for 2M+ on cloth, but fear kited him without difficulty.

Drops off of a 110 rare elite turtle with a MoP turtle skin (green/yellow) named "Hell Shell". 100% drop for any person that tags the mob. Basically open your map and go off the top right land mass of the broken shore. You'll see Archerus in the air (DK order hall) and some scattered little rocky islands. If you open the map, and right click once the turtle is at the very end of the little broken/rocky looking trail under the words "The Broken Shore".

Anyone knows if the shell can be used to knock DKs/Paladins from their class order mounts? the one that allows them to combat while mounted

Look at the world map over the Broken Isles. Find the Acherus (DK classhall). It's below that and as far east as you can come without going into the deep waters.

There is nothing but rocks out there and he is on the last rock. If you see more rocks to the east then just keep going. It's after the rock with the dead trees on it.

The closest flight point for non-DK players is Aalgen Point on the broken Shore. You can swim, waterwalk or strider from there. If you are a DK you just jump down from the Archerus and ride the short distance. (edit: unlocking flying has really trivialized getting out there).

About 6.31M hp so that is trivial, if he didn't hit like a damn truck. I wasn't prepared so he two shot me the first time before I could even start doing much. I wasn't really prepared for him hitting that hard on plate. Don't die! Cause it sucks having to run in death form from Aalgen Point.

My army of the dead, the ghoul and the gargoyle took him out in 15 seconds or so, I helped with some chains, outbreak and death coils from a safe distance.

How does this work? Any time I target someone who is mounted and try and use it, all I get is invalid target.

Works like all other rares these days, I was with a friend and sat there and watched them kill it while we were both in group and we both got one. I am 99% sure if we were not grouped and I just tagged it we still would have both got one. So don't be afraid to bring friends to come kill it since it does have a decently long respawn.

For those of you who don't know: Yesterday I flied with my Druid, a warlock threw this at me and knocked me out of travel form. Apparently this Shell simply ends all travel-related abilities, perhaps it works like a dispel? (Travel Form shows up as a physical buff on druid)

It's the funniest "toy" for rogues. You just sit in stealth and wait for victims. After falling they think "WHAT WAS THAT?".

The item breaks stealth and it has a short cast time.
Sadly it doesn't works on friendly targets.

Guys don't bother. I tried to use it on levels 104-110, but it didn't work. Says target is too high level, even though in the description says it would work. Not sure about lower levels though.

Also the range is pathetic, like the basic 40 yards. Not really useful.
