This trinket procs Écho de Gorshalach (253327) which is a stacking buff. Once you get the 15th stack, your stacks are consumed and you cast Héritage de Gorshalach which deals fire damage in a 12 yd cone in front of you.

Approx 10 RPPM which means, on average, you should get one Héritage de Gorshalach per 1.5 min.

In the RPG books, Gorshalach was the name of Sargeras's sword when he was good. It was semi-sentient and shattered itself when he turned evil, then Sargeras took one half and named it Gorribal, while his lieutenant Aggramar took the other and named it Taeshalach.

The RPGs were declared non-canon years ago though, so none of what I said above matters. As of Chronicle the origins for Sargeras's unnamed sword and Aggramar's Taeshalach are that the two blades broke in a duel with each other when Sargeras betrayed the Pantheon.

The lack of control for when this trinket does it's damage can get frustrating. I highly recommend a TMW or Weakauras to better keep track of the stacks, when you hit 13/14 stacks, say on high command, verify your position to have the adds in front of you.

This trinket is dropped by Aggramar in "Antorus, the Burning Throne."

Facts:

- Drops only for melee-specs
- Roughly 13 RPPM, but it feels more like 15 Stacks/1 Procc per Minute (tested with 1x 2h Polearm)
- Stacks up to 15 (which means as soon as you get the 15. Stack it proccs)
- There is no visual indicator until the 14. procs,which will be visible by spawing a closing fire circle beneath you for a moment.
- Stack duration is 1 Minute (resets everytime you get one).
- The Effect has 2 parts: 2x Cones infront of you, with roughly ~0.5s delay
- Cone range is 15 yards.
- Always crits and 1 Procc is shown as "2 Attacks" in your Skada/Recount/Details
- The Animation is like a fiery Slash infront of you. Big and cleary visible. (Would rate 9/10 since i think the effect, animation and lore are really cool)
- Does twice the damage if you have you Weapon transmogged into Taeshalach (just kidding^^)

Overall i would say, its really good for most specs. As mentioned by Dominhator Enhancment Mastery increases the dmg. As do all other Damage increasing Buff and Cooldowns of Classes.
As a Survival-Hunter myself, the damage increases through Way of the Mok'natal, Aspect of the Eagle with Skylord.

P.S.:
I think, based on experience and testing since i got it in 940, its good for Singletarget if your other choices are poor. It shines on Aoe-Fights IF you can time it correctly.
Otherwise its really good for M+ (did between 8%-12% of my total damage in high Mythic+ Dungeons), depending on the amount of trash the tanks pulls and the affixes and your survivability.

I am a sv hunter with 910 average ilvl (quite low for the current patch). i am using frizzo's fingertrap and roots of shaladrassil. my weapon is 931 ilvl and my version of this trinket is 920 ilvl. its tooltip says 2.6 million fire damage on proc.

some stats:
this trinket accounted for 9% of my damage in an eye of azshara +2 with serpent sting build.
accounted for 11.5% of my damage in a daily heroic with butchery build.
12.9% of my damage in an upper karazhan +2 with butchery build.

the buff itself lasts 1 minute, and refreshes every time it gains a stack, making it very consistent. but you can't delay it unless you stop attacking altogether. the sheer damage makes up for that normally.

The damage dealt by this trinket was at some recent point (as of 27/08/18) severely nerfed. I've been using the normal (210) version whilst levelling through BfA, and for a while the proc was listed as inflicting roughly 13.5k damage. Now suddenly it does only 5.9k damage. Maybe I missed it, but I don't remember reading about this, and it definitely happened very recently. It's gone from being a great occasional nuke whilst levelling to borderline trash damage. An untimely end to a trinket I absolutely loved.
