I did some prospecting research and here's what this ore yields based on 1255 ore prospected.

Items	Per prospect	Per stack
Uncommon gems	1.761	70.4
Rare gems	0.436	17.4
Oeil du kraken	0.034	1.36

This gives a lot less rare gems than Minerai de platine and a bit less uncommons as well so I'd suggest to prospect Minerai de platine instead if it's cheap enough.

If you can get access to the Sac à dos anti-gravité, you can mine hundreds of Minerai de monélite and Minerai de foudrargent per hour in Île de Mécagone. For me at least, it has been the most lucrative method of mining in BFA. This isn't to mention that you can rack up on harder-to-find ores this way as well like Minerai de platine, finding/looting Coffre mécanisé for materials to build additional Sac à dos anti-gravités, completing achievements like Repose en pièces, and so on.

If you have the jetpack, you can mine the ore and open Coffre mécanisé without ever dismounting, plus you can use it inside the caves making quick in-and-out mining take only seconds.

On days where the the Armurerie de Mécarouille cassée is active, you can loot the Sac à dos anti-gravité from it and have the jetpack for 20m. During that 20m, I usually mine for ore for around 15 minutes and use the last 5 to locate another jetpack. It was pretty easy to keep an active jetpack indefinitely through the day. Alternatively, if you have the Plan : Sac à dos anti-gravité, you can build your own for cheaper than fixing the Armurerie de Mécarouille cassée and keep them in your inventory for whenever. Each time you build your own jetpacks, you get 3x. The killing of rares and looting chests usually keeps me in ample supply of the Cellule énergétique and Pièces détachées I need to stay stocked on jetpacks.
