I suspect this is some manner of reference to a Flash Animator known as Legendary Frog. in the past, he has made several Flash Animations based on World of Warcraft, and one of his in-jokes deals with a hidden muffin in the pocket of one of his characters.

This is dropped by Feasel the Muffin Thief on Mac'Aree. The name is a reference to WoW dev Muffinus (Jeremy Feasel), well known for designing many of the secrets in the game (hence why it's so carefully hidden :P)

When I ate the item, I got a Tarnished Timeless Coin from it, similar to real world Vasilopita. I also got a Well Fed buff, increasing stamina by 750 for an hour. EDIT: Apparently you can get different drops from this and the food buff is based on your spec - I was a tank, hence the stamina.

There was a stealth change in the September 29th 2017 hotfix, making this item Bind on Pickup.
edit: now listed in the October 3rd hotfixes (even though it was active a week before).

The Well Fed buff is now 22 point of Agi/Int/Str/Stam

In Shadowlands this muffin is nerfed to give +14 primary stat, but is still one of the better food buffs available.
