So, apparently opening the box and getting the Candy gives you a debuff and a temporary title, akin to the old Prix du maître aventurier from Blackwing Descent. The title you get from the candy debuff is , and according to the comments there is a part of getting the Poutou pet. Interesting.

Chocolat raffiné de Tirasreli can be purchased from Xun Xun la Douce fleur in Drustvar. After purchasing 10 of the chocolate go to the treehouse at 52.4, 31.5 in Drustvar. You will see a chest: Planque à butin du Club des aventuriers. Looting it once will give you Bonbon volé x 10 and give you the title Looting it a second time will consume your Tirasreli Chocolate and unlock the pet vendor Nigel Rivefaille outside.
