I got a Cobra noir out of mine. Considering the xmute was broken for the first few days of the expansion, that was very disappointing. Is there even anything NEW inside this thing?

Edit: I've now got two more vendor pets out of my sacs, a Jeune kaliri and a Œuf de phalène jaune. It's nice to see that there is more data and to know that there are some unique pets so it doesn't feel like I'm flushing all these mats down the meaty toilet.

Being a pet collector, I switched multiple alts to Alchemy to grind out the pets for my own collection. That amounts to 15 toons per week doing this since the 2nd week of BFA, so roughly 30 sacs opened so far. Not a single one of the new pets has dropped, but I have received many Kaliri hatchlings and the ridiculously common Albino Snake. It appears that each day the pet is repeated among all the toons that have one to open, ie everyone gets a Kingsnake or w/e.

I didn't expect to get all of them first try, but something is seriously wrong with this.

I just got the Gearspring Hopper, it was green but I made it blue with the flawless battle stone.

Since I don't know if what you get is determined by the day you make it or the day you open it, I think if you have more than one alchemist you should stagger the sacs - wait a day before the next toon makes one. Maybe opening them on different days combined with making them on different days at different hours of the day will give more luck in receiving a variety of pets? IDK - but it might be worth a try, based on what players are saying here.

Opened my first sack just this week after powerleveling alchemy on one of the alts and it had a Baby Crawg! As I'm not an avid pet collector I decided to put it up on the AH for 95k (it was the only one there) and logged off. When I put up battle pets (even some rare ones) they usually take months to sell so I woke up, and to my surprise found a hefty sum of gold sitting in my mailbox. Decided to check what was going on and realised that it's a pretty rare pet and I was lucky to get one from the first sack. I'll definitely try getting alchemy on a few more characters just to do weekly transmutes as it seems there's a bit of gold to be made when you get lucky. And I wish good luck to all the collectors trying to get those little guys.

For those who like data, I've been tracking all my finds since October 1st and here are my findings: (vendor pet = common pets)

10/01 - 10/07 = 6 vendor pets, 2 Bloodfeaster Larva
10/08 - 10/14 = 8 vendor pets, 2 Gearspring Hoppers
10/15 - 10/21 = 9 vendor pets, 1 Bloodfeaster Larva
10/22 - 10/28 = 9 vendor pets, 1 Gearspring Hopper
10/29 - 11/04 = 10 vendor pets, 1 Bloodfeaster Larva
11/05 - 11/11 = 9 vendor pets
11/12 - 11/18 = 10 vendor pets, 1 Ball of Tentacles
11/19 - 11/25 = 11 vendor pets
11/26 - 12/02 = 11 vendor pets
12/03 - 12/09 = 10 vendor pets

So, in 2 months I received 93 vendor pets and 8 "rare" pets. That would mean I roughly had a 8% chance at finding a rare pet each week. This percentage seems to be far too low and I expected better from Blizzard. Very disappointing. I feel sorry for the people who have just one or two alchemists.

Can't wait to open these in the next two expansion, because the drop of the new pets is abysmaly low. Opened 14 of them already and no new pet yet. If only it wasn't a 7day cooldown.

Can anyone tell me if the different pets are specific to Horde/Alliance transmutes? Baby Crawg - Horde , Slippy - Alliance, etc? I have yet to get either and was curious on stats.
