You get these from rated pvp. I got one from my bonus role. You need 10 to get a piece of gear from Marshal Gabriel (ally) in the pvp building, the Salt and Shanty.

It seems like you get these if you fail a bonus roll doing RBG/Arena, as a sort of consolation prize.

So to clarify. These are obtained when failing a bonus roll in pvp.

"All Dread Gladiator gear – from the weekly Conquest, from the Weekly Cache, from end of match rewards – can have their item level boosted to the rating associated with your current rank using a Battleborn Sigil. Battleborn Sigil’s can be rewarded to you through PvP actiivites, as well as through a repeatable turn-in quest requiring 10 Quartermaster Coins through Xander Silberman at Mugambala and Marshal Gabriel at the salt and Shanty Inn within Hook Point. Quartermaster Coins can be earned if you lose a bonus roll in PvP."

Got one of these by completing the conquest reward quest(Weekly)

I have 5 so apparently I've done this 5 times.

8.1.5/S2 while I write this.

Dunno if blizzard forgot to buff the Battleborn Sigil.

I finally got 10 of those coins. My char has got every 385 gear that was obtainable through the weekly conquest quest the previous 10 weeks + bonuses from weekly chest. Itemlevel 394 overall atm. So I expected the sigil would raise any chosen gear to 400. I was wrong.

It will raise any blue -> SINISTER ASPIRANT <- ilvl360 gear to 380 and any blue azerate gear to 370 which makes those coins totally worthless. I'm gonna save them for a quick gear-up in S3.

Just Don't waste seals to get them. they not worth the trouble I got an item that gave me the chance to upgrade a piece of gear to 380 he gives you 385 pieces its not worth the trouble save the seals.

When Season 2 ends with the content update , players will no longer be able to turn in their Pièce d’intendants to receive Battleborn Sigils. Pièce d’intendants can be sold for 50 gold.

When Season 3 begins the week of July 9, players will begin receiving Prix d’intendant items from their Conquest schedule rewards, Call to Arms quests, and the Nazjatar world PvP event.

In Season 3, a missed Bonus Roll in PvP will award Azerite Power, but a missed Bonus Roll will NOT award a Prix d’intendant. Completing the weekly “Quartermaster’s Bounty” quest by trading in Prix d’intendant items will award a Warlord’s Trophy (not a Battleborn Sigil).

So, this item is/was completely not worth your ... anything.

In order to use it, you had to collect 10 of these during season 2 of bfa. You'd get them by collecting 500 conquest points (meaning 5000+ conquest farmed for 10), or had a chance to "drop" when you roll extra at end of rated bg/arena.
Then you'd exchange 10 of these for 1 sigil (upgrade token alike item) which turned season 2 crappy 360 item into 380 version.

By the time you'd get 10 of these you'd get far better item in every slot, making this completely pointless!

If you saved 10 of these hoping to exchange them for something good at the start of season 3 - blizz played you! For weeks or months of farming you get a consolation prize of 500 gold.

Worst of all - someone in blizz was tasked to design and create this!

As season 3 has started, are these considered useless? I have a few in my bags and no not want to sell them if they still have value.
