Just got this today. When you use it sets out a Bowl of Glowing Pufferfish that you can click on to loot 5 different colored Glowing Puffer (Green, Purple, Red, Blue and Orange). When you use it on yourself it gives you 15 minute buff with a glowing aura of that color in about a 15 yard radius. You can also toss the puffer to random players and they will get the effect too. Pretty neat!

EDIT: Buff also persists through instances and works in combat

Three things: One, you can use the fish on yourself. Two, the more different fish colors you have active the brighter and whiter the light. And more importantly, three, use this toy with your Horde alts before you go diving for Derek Proudmoore's body. It lights up the dark depths of the sea so brightly that you never need to use your diving light. Makes the quest chain so much easier and faster, which is good if you've done it so many times before on other alts that you don't want to deal with the mechanics of it again, like me.

Hello! I recently got this toy on my druid here are some thing you should know about my druid.

- I have little to NO BFA recipes learned as I do not normally cook in the game.
- Only got 1 bag and the toy dropped.

So I am assuming the toy is a 100% drop as my friend also got the toy on his first bag.

Best way to get Tortollan rep is to use the Contrat : Chercheurs tortollans and do all the world quests in all the zones.

- Never skip Tortollan Emissary's
- Tortollan Cooking WQs give 200+ rep I just buy the food off AH
- Do ALL Tortollan quests

- Nazmir: 58, 40
- Vol'Dun: Tortaka Refugee (top right of Temple of Sethraliss)
- Zuldazar: 79, 41 (Atal'Gral beach)
- Stormsong Valley: 40, 37 (Seeker's Vista)
- Drustvar: 19, 43 (Anyport - I could be wrong on this one! if not most likely along the beach right there)
- Tiragarde Sound: 79, 81 (Down by Freehold)
- Nazjatar: 49, 30 (Gate of the Queen)

Most of these quests are chain quests for each zone with each mission granting 75 rep, contract will not give you bonus rep for these as they are regular missions, not world quests and being human helps only by 2 points.

I am not too sure about Mechagon never looked.

The rep grind for this and bad luck rng is killing me.. this is pretty much the main dailies I do each day. Several chests and no drop. Beachhead and The Cycle of Life dailies are brutal.. again, day in and day out. I actually can tolerate Calligraphy... and the maze one isn't "too" bad.. but man, who knows what year I'll get this thing. /rant over.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME FARMING THIS!

After farming this on six characters and only just now getting it...

It does not make you glow... at all really. (I cannot see any glow at all but perhaps there's a slight one.)

It gives your screen, not your character, a *very slight* tint of the colour you use, and a buff called bioluminescent.

That is all.

Anyone expecting a multicoloured Detoxified Blight Grenade is wasting their time.

This item absolutely does not turn you different colours.

Try the Blight Grenade, paint bladders, the Orange Turnip Gun, or Breath of Frost.

Oh, I found why this item no longer works. Someone complained about it.

It was nerfed to uselessness. I remember distinctly seeing a screenshot of it when I started farming it, and it did turn you colours. Now it does not, thanks to a complaint.

Was using this to light players up in Alterac Valley before the bg started, effect looks great on the snow and inside bunkers and such. Doesn't give you away if stealthed.

Seems like you can loot each of the five different fish at once. But only a total of 12 overall each use of the toy.

Stealth nerfed in 8.3 so that the effect no longer persists while mounted.

Couple things I can say about this toy...

1) It is SUPER rare...Just got it today, and I have opened MANY Tortollan Paragon Chests :)
2) If you are serious about getting this toy - Dailies for the Tortollans will literally become "Daily" :) Be sure to have a contract and use World Quest Buffs to your advantage :) (Keep an eye on your calender!)
3) Like others have reported - the effect appears to be a little wonky - if you mount up for example, it may remove the buff...other times it might not. Very odd...
4) This is an elite level toy and worth the effort. I stuck to certain Tortollan WQ's that I actually didn't mind doing like the Shell game to build reputation.

I got this today after 10 attempts! Took months! That means I got my reputation up to paragon 10 times before getting it. I had 6 alts maxed out and on top of the usual tortollan quests done when leveling I did the emissary tortollan quests for fast rep. Didn't bother with the dailies at all since they gave so little reputation. Every time I'd see the tortollan emissary quest up I'd run through the three needed with my alts.

It definitely drops so if you are after this, keep on grinding.

I'm not sure if this got included in the 'increased rare drop rate from Paragon chests' that at least hit Legion paragons. This was one of the two things (Uldum pet is the other) I was still missing from BfA paragons and got it today. Actually kind of happy I don't need to listen to Nola endlessly anymore (all credit where due to the awesome VA :>).

One of the most annoying toys Blizz could've created... Wish there was a way to disable that glow because some people are intentionally spamming it on NPCs and if its in a small room it gets extremely bright to a point where its difficult to look at the game.

Probably my favorite toy out of them all. i love how bright it is. for some reason only the red fish stays lit when i mount up tho. maybe weird bug or something.
