For those that are as confused as I was, the Khaz'gorian Anvil is not in your inventory, but rather it's sitting in front of the blacksmith trainer. You also get the ability to craft a Khaz'gorian Smithing Hammer

This is not the huge anvil in front of Forgemaster Zak'aal, check on my screenshot, it is the gold topped anvil near the forge behind Zak'aal.

Just in case you don't see the gold topped anvil by the Blacksmithey in Boralus; I had not completed the blacksmithing quest chain in deepholm that starts with "Deep in the Core". I had all the required items to make the hammer but couldn't find the anvil.... duh, I had to do the quest chain to make the anvil. After wards it shows up in Boralus.
