seems to have drop rate terribly out of proportion with the two other items needed. my dwarf has enough of the two other items needed for doing the quest three times but none of this item.

The items are not soulbound so if you find farm it on a group you can trade around extras that you don't need.

Daily quest is unlocked by combining 30 Ressort durci, 10 Plaque trempée and 5 Mécanisme usiné and turn in the quest that pops up after that.

These are good for a daily turn-in that yields Mechagon loot (and rep once per day).

The rewards are not unique so if you want to recover bag space don't feel too bad about selling these. Drops are subject to RNG though so if you plan to get all Mechagon achievements you may wish to keep them.

If you want to collect more, kill the mobs (mostly elites) in the Junkwatt Depot area on Mechagon Island. You'll need:

Once you have enough you can make a Lot de pièces recyclables and turn it in at one of the four Recyclériseur DX-82 in the area. All four work together offering Recyclage à la chaîne and Recyclage systématique for repeated hand-ins.

Every 8th turn-in (according to the comments) you will get a Réquisition recyclée étrange which is bonus loot containing a variety of Mechagon items.
