Here are all the mount equipment items I could find so far as of 8.2

1) Trotteurs aquatiques des Hameçonneurs Water Walking - Nat Pagel
2) Plaques de sabots de pas léger +20% Mount Speed - Enchanting
3) Parachute de selle Slow Fall - Tailoring
4) Caparaçon confortable Anti-Daze - Leatherworking
5) Fers à monture gonflables Water Walking - Blacksmithing

On the PTR it requires 150 skill to learn it and it is red untill 165. After 170 is green but still you can level up to 175 skill only with this.
Also you have to open Nazjatar.

The mount equipment slot IS NOT account wide.
Let me explain:
- once one character unlocked the mount equipment slot, every character on that account gain the mount equipment slot.
- the watershoes you get, on every character of your account, in exchange of your lost strider water walking are account wide, you can send it to any character.
BUT (!) the item you choose to use in the mount equipment slot of one character IS NOT account wide.
If, on your mage, you choose to use the watershoes, ONLY your mage have watershoes on its mounts.
If you switch to your warrior, s/he will have to equip ANOTHER watershoes in his/her mount equipment slot to be able to walk on water.
After re-reading Blizz post about mount equipment slot, i realize they were very vague about what was to be account wide, which mean they didn't strictly lied, they just deceived readers in suggesting the mechanic would be larger that it really is.

So there is NO barding consumable for the new zones in 8.2, just the mount equipment?

The new mount equipment items will not work with Golem céleste . It says "Your active mount does not benefit from Mount Equipment because it already has an ability". I imagine this will also be true for any other special mounts.

The new mount equipment items will not work with Sky Golem. Which means that you can still get dazed and knocked off your mount...

This does not work against dazing from players. Only protection against NPCs.

Just had a very confusing experience with this item (although it might have happened to any mount equipment).

I couldn't get it to "take" in the slot at all. I'd put it in and accept the warning that the previous equipment would be destroyed. But then nothing happened and it stayed in my bags. Frustrated, I disabled all addons and relogged. Same issue. So then I mailed it to an alt and tried to equip it over there. Worked fine. So I bought another one and sent it back to the original character who couldn't equip it and lo and behold, it was already equipped. So somehow I equipped two characters with the same mount equipment and I'm putting the second one back on the AH.

Weird bug.

This also does not work on underwater mounts like the seahorses and jellyfish. I was flying on the Fathom Dweller in Nazjatar and was dazed by a naga. I looked at it and noticed it was not applicable for that mount (no matter the zone). This could, of course, be because I used the item to make them rideable in Nazjatar.

It'd be nice if the equipment mentioned the fact that the Sky Golem doesn't benefit from it. I was so confused as to why I kept getting dazed while herbing on the Sky Golem (I can't fly yet) ~~since there doesn't appear to be any mention of that fact in-game.~~

Edit: Turns out the only place in-game this fact is mentioned is on the tooltip for the Sky Golem skill. :/

You can get the same effect temporarily while in Kul Tiras or Zandalar, using the Barde en cuir rêche consumable made by Leatherworkers. The effect lasts 2h, or 8h for actual Leatherworkers.

This is a great replacement for those using the Golem céleste mount to farm BFA herbs.

This is an insult to those of us who worked hard to get the Water Walking from Nat Pagle. Now we have to choose Water walking or Barding.

This mount equipment DOES NOT work with Sky Golem mount.
This mount equipment DOES NOT work against Daze from players,NPC only.

I have learned this the hard way :(

If anyone having problems using this item over old equipment, that might be an addons issue, turn off all addons and try again.

Be careful in Zereth Mortis - the mawsworn on north can shoot you down with this equipped.

For those of you like me, that aquired this in hopes it would prevent birds and flying mawsworn from dismounting you mid-flight in Zereth Mortis.........this does NOT work. From this, I surmise that it only prevents being stunned/slowed (ie, dazed), but NOT from fully dismounting you, which is especially annoying while flying. Have not fully tested, so not sure if this situation applies in all zones.

Oh well, back to Nat's good 'Ol water riding.

For some odd reason this doesn't work with the silithid mounts inside Ahn'Qiraj. But it works with all other mounts inside Ahn'Qiraj.
