The gem requirements and effective cost of crafting these new rings is ridiculous in comparison to the other 8.2 profession crafts. It's just not worth it.
The Sage Agate drop rate is very low, and you can only have one of these equipped at a time. I had made two and opened a case w/ GM and they swapped back the items to make it for the second ring.
Tldr it will take approx. 2 wow tokens of buying osmenite ore just to get 35 sage agate.
Upon creating this for the next level recipe, and then scrapping it it did return:
x18 Sage Agate
x1 Leviathan's Eye
Was kinda assuming it would only return the expulsom ...hope someone finds this helpful.
Does anyone know the chance of proc'ing the next level of the recipe? Or is it automatically given after crafting it once?
Unless you have the gold to spend or hours to farm
, the drop rate for
is way too low. I prospected nearly 2000
and only got 32
and about 45
, which isn't even enough for the first 410 ring. Currently reselling the gems in hope to get my gold back.
As a rule of thumb: Prospecting 30
yields about 1
AND 1 of each of the other gems. That's at least what I just netted on average a few minutes ago.
I prospected 2400
and received 90, 81, 94, 83, 67, 74, and 75 from each of the 7 different gems.
I am aware that the sampling size is nowhere near scientific proof, but I believe the "7 in 30" rule is pretty close.
