Reward does not seem to be related to how many curses you have at time of turning in or opening as some may have speculated.
For example: I had 11 curses, and received 817 Gold, 3 Silver, 8 Copper.
Does indeed seem to be random within the range of 200-1000g. Haven't seen anything reported below or above those ranges.

The amount of gold you get from this sack is random. I got 200 and I got a 988 a second time.

Not sure if related but could be the gold from this has been increased on average, cause I read comments from people who got less the first days, and then did it again and got more, I for example did it late and got around 900, wasn't on nazjatar when it released.

Some of these buffs can be very nasty, so you need to sell the Main de squelette to Cherche-malheur Yarga for a Sac tintinnabulant full of gold as swiftly as possible.

These do not stack, they are unique, but the game will not stop you from turning in another cursed object and will eat the item with no reward. Open each sack before turning in another cursed object.

The last three times I've turned in skeletal hand to get this bag, it's had 75 gold in it. I think they've nerfed it, without patch notes.

One of the few upsides to trying to farm this annoyingly rare Mardivas' Bag of Containing, to finish out that Give Me the Biggest Bag you've Got achievement, was occasionally making gold from this, but that's gone too.
