You're able to eat these and still keep the buff from the Goulash dégoûtant-type foods.
If you eat for the full 20 second duration, you will regain 200 sanity.

Seems to be only granting 100 sanity at the moment, eating til the end doesn't give you another tick. Bugged or nerfed?

Edit: given the description, the 200 sanity on the PTR was probably a bug. RIP

As others mentioned, you only get one 100 sanity buff after 10 seconds of eating K’Bab and that's it.
I made a small chart of the net sanity gains after eating K'bab for 10 seconds straight in the three zone types in horrific visions, based on your cloak level:

As you can see, eating K'bab in a Lost area is sub-optimal if you have a low cloak level. If you can plan it, try to eat it just outside those zones.
Also, it is rather obvious, but 100-<figure from this table> is the amount of sanity you will lose before the buff kicks in (e.g. at cloak level 8, you will lose 66 sanity before the bonus kicks in when eating in a lost area), so make sure you have at least that amount before sitting down to eat. Check your bar and cancel eating immediately after getting the buff.

Currently for me this does not give any sanity back, despite eat for 10 seconds, just not worth it.

If you are interested in farming the mats for these, the Vir'naal River / Lake in the middle of Uldum is a very good place. I started at the south end 70,78 at the Vir'naal River Delta and made my way North along the east bank ( west could be good too ), killing the crocks has a pretty good drop rate for Questionable Meat, and I also found quite a few pools of Aberrant Voidfin and Malformed Gnoshers. Important to note: kill a bunch of the cultists, eventually the recipe for all the delicacies should drop and you'll be good to go.

sounds like Blizzard is just Lazy with the tool tips anymore, if it says it restores 100 sanity it should restore 100 sanity otherwise it should state that in the tool tip which it obviously doesn't, gg Blizzard you excel at failure.

as of 6/1/2020 you still can't get the benefit from K'bab if you already have a well fed buff. Found out the hard way.

Blizzard, why would you make this one food item NOT overwrite the previous buff? You do that for every single other food item, so why not this one? Very strange.

Regardless, you should remove the food buff before you eat it again.
