There does appear to be a cap on how much rep or experience you can earn while on this quest.

I believe I started at 0 rep, however I am certain I ended at 1580 experience on my hatchling and any further kills did not contribute to the bar. Once I noticed that he had stopped receiving experience from standard mobs, I also tried killing elites and rares with no success.

I had major success killing mobs down in the Cursed Landing and near the entrance to the Halls of Origination. I pulled big groups and had 4+ minutes left on my Shadowbarb's summon by the time I had capped. If you wind up on this quest while the major N'zoth invasion is up in Uldum, I would head to the Vale of Eternal Blossoms around the Setting Sun Garrison or north of the Five Sisters. There are usually a large number of densely packed Mogu or Mantid in those areas.

Was able to get 1990 first day of getting whistle. Started at 1 rep ended at 1991.

How do you see its rep? It's not obvious on my UI

Don't use this if you're having internet problems; wait until a point in the day where things stabilize if you can. I wasn't having any problems, but dismounted and attacked a rare too quick for the liking of Blizzard's servers and got DC'd. Logged back in to find my sh*t wrecked, and Bitey McStabface gone for the day, along with the whistle. I'd killed one elite mob for an event with him out at that point, so was pretty disappointed.

Is it possible to use it inside a minor vision (Uldum or Vale)?

I had my whistle show up on an empty action bar & I got a new ability that I need a bar for so I put it there & now &I cannot find the Whistle for my hatchling. Does anyone know where I should look or how to get the Whistle back? I'm so frustrated.
