To open it with lockpicking skill,you need to get your character to level 60,not to level 50.

Normally this is opened by a Rouge with Crochetage, a Blacksmith's key Passe-partout en læstrite, or a Scribe's Écrit de pillage de tombes.

But .... as I discovered by accident ...

I thought it was odd that the Coffret en vicevyr looked different for my Monk than my other characters.
Instead of red letters for "Locked" and red letters for "Requires Lockpicking (60)", the letters were in grey
for my monk. It turns out that if you are a Necrolord and you have Plague Deviser Marileth as your soulbind,
then when you reach the 5th level of the soulbind tree and choose the left branch which is Trousseau de clés de Kevin.
An icon will pop onto an empty slot on your action bar. If you action bars are full or you don't see it, you can go
to your "Spellbook & Abilities" you will see it in your "General" tab.

It allows you to open Coffret en vicevyr once every 12 hours, but you can use Chair recomposée once every 2 minutes which
will cool down Trousseau de clés de Kevin by 4 hours, which means if you stay on it, you can open a lockbox once every 6 minutes.

For those confused about how Coffret en vicevyr was renamed with 9.1 release (used to be Oxxien):

Coffret en oxxéine is exclusive to Maldraxxus, while Coffret en vicevyr (once also named Oxxein Lockbox, pre-9.1) is exclusive to Revendreth. These different items had the same name prior.

Prior to 9.1, if you had a Oxxein Lockbox, it wasn't clear if it was from Maldraxxus or Revendreth. With the Revendreth one renamed, now it's clear.

So, in summary:

Coffret en oxxéine is from Maldraxxus
Coffret en vicevyr is from Revendreth (this is the one that was once called Oxxein Lockbox)

I wanted to make sure on something:
Is it possible to loot lockboxes? Like can I go to maldraxxas, revendreth etc and kill stuff and one will eventually drop as loot?
I don’t have a rogue and I don’t really want to make one for what I’m trying to do….I just need to hopefully loot one each of 3 kinds of shadowlands lockboxes so I can buy a companion in the veiled market.

Rarely, these have contained another synvir lockbox for me in addition to the usual gold and green items. Happened only twice so far.

If you're getting an error when trying to click your key that prevents you from clicking on what you want to open, move away from any mailboxes.
