Do you get the set bonus with the other trinket? It does not seem to increase the value in the versatility tooltip.

Has something changed with the new patch? My UI is showing it as acquirable (currently level 57) but an error message says I need level 60 to buy.
This would be really helpful to level through PvP/BG's. Right now I can only get an entry level medallion from BfA, at 68 iL...

Be warned, the tooltip for this and the other pvp trinkets are imo badly written and it changes dependant on it being equipped or not. When it's not equipped the set bonus requirements are clearer, you need an emblem trinket and a medallion trinket to activate the set.

When it's equipped the tooltip now says the name of the trinket you have already, for example Sinful Gladiators Relentless Brooch and the second greyed out item says Gladiator's Medallion. I therefore bought a 'medallion' trinket the Sinful Aspirant's Medallion and spent a bunch of honor upgrading it only to find the brooch and the medallion count as the same trinket and are unique equipped, even though they are different.

There are ofc no refunds for anything you upgrade as it becomes soulbound.

How is this item upgraded? Nothing about it here, and the vendors I bought it from in Oribos don't appear to be able to do it.

Nvm, I found the answer at my Covenant <Item Upgrades> this one requires Honor, as you might expect.
