The chest is opened with a Gordok Shackle Key: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=18250

The key drops from the ogres in DM North and is BOP. Though it seems the gaurds drop the key more than regular ogres, I've gotten keys from all types of ogres.

The chest drops a number of BOP blue patterns, and several BOE epic patterns, and some valuable white/grey loot. This is the only epic tailoring pattern from the chest.

For tailors, the chest also can have the following BOP blue patterns:

GMs are stating that Thimblejack's Cache and its patterns been depreciated, therefore this pattern no longer drops in-game.

Until proven otherwise, you can reasonably safely assume the only source for this will be old, unlearnt copies floating around the AH for exorbitant prices.

I have Ackis Recipe List addon, so I was a little confused when I saw this on AH and it wasn't on my list.
Thank you to Blupache, it appears that this has been removed.
Being a collector, I didn't mind spending 2500g for it on Blackrock.
Any other collectors out there, keep your eyes on the AH, never know what may turn up! GL!

This pattern is again available with the 8.1.5. patch.

While using your tailoring "Tool of the Trade" on a Time Rift, there is a chance that an NPC appears called "Time-Lost Trader" which sells this recipe among other previously removed ones for 150 x Embroidered Deep Sea Satin.

While this recipe has now been removed from the game, don't worry!

With 8.1.5, you can now buy Patron : Ceinture de l’archimage from Marchande perdue dans le temps, which teaches the same recipe!

The new version costs only 150 Satin des abysses brodé.
The vendor takes quite a bit of effort to find, however. You must first craft the BFA Tailoring Tool of the Trade, Fil synchrone, find one of the many time rifts across Zandalar/Kul Tiras, and then it only has a chance to appear for a brief 1-2 minute window, when you close one.

She also sells a handful of other removed Tailoring recipes for a similar price as well.
