Apparently this no longer reflects hunter traps...what a shame...

With the chance to fail at 70 this has lost most of its usefulness.

This item used to work differently, currently it only makes you immune to spells and reflects them. It used to make you immune and then reflect the actual movement impairing effect, this is no longer case.

Truly an excellent device against frost casting enemies. Can be useful to extend the lifespan of your Frost Ward. Once equipped don't activate it until the casting bar of the enemy is almost complete, then he should have enough time (assuming it's an NPC and not a player who has worked out not to cast) to cast a second spell. Although the buff will seem to fade, the second spell will also be relfected. That is if it succeeds after the new level 60+ failiure chance. It's a shame the buff doesn't last a bit longer, say 15 seconds, but still it's quite useful whether fighting or running away.

currently the most frost resistance on a single trinket. it is suspected that in the lich king there will be a raid requiring frost resistance, though by then there should be something with more frost resistance but you never know.
also, you can equip two of these for a combined 30 frost resistance on trinket slots alone (shared cooldown)

If I am in a Frost Nova and a mage throws Ice Lance at me, does it do tripple damage at him/her and gets the increased crit chance from Shatter?

Still a fairly good (I have about 75%) success rate on reflecting level 70 player spells, but that's just anecdotal evidence, and nothing intensive. However, I still always equip this when fighting frost mages, becuase when it does work it makes it totally worth while.

This line - "Chance to be resisted when used by players over level 60." nerfed it to oblivion now at lvl 80. All those reflectors had pretty fair chance to acutally work at lvl 70 (about 50%), however, another 10 levels and these trinkets are just "junk".

Did series of tests and the results are very disappointing. Out of 30 tries (all three reflectors combined), only Flame reflector worked - once. If we assume that their success rate is same for all three refletors, this gives you about 3 - 4% chance to actually work.

However, the sample size is pretty small, so the actual chance could be higher. Still, I wouldn't sell these trinkets; Blizzard once said they could remove this "over 60" fail chance. We can only hope.

There are three reflectors that you can create with engineering:
Réflectoglace gyrogivre Reflects Frost spells back at the caster.
Réflectoflamme hyper-radiant Reflects Fire spells back at the caster.
Réflectombre ultra-flash Reflects Shadow spells back at the caster.
