This can spawn either next to your target or next to you. If you're melee that doesn't make a difference but if you're range it does. If what skada tells me is correct, on a 5 minute fight against a dummy it spawned 23 times but only 7 times at the target. I'm not sure if it's worth it or not.

On a 262 purple crafted leather head tooltip states that it 479 damage and heals 479.
On a 4:47 min fight with Dausegne (mostly staked fight):
Damage proc 9 times 4.6k dameage done 0.3% overall.
Healing proc 127 times 14.6k healing done 6.7% overall.

IMHO it is not worth it, would rather got myself some move speed.

Just did a 16 with this as a caster, it spawns "star" bombs either at your target or near you. I thought it's a funny effect, but useless as a ranged class. The tooltip doesn't suggest they can spawn near you, very disappointing. The bombs are "Magically Regulated Automa Core" and look like the star bombs on Lihuvum.

For those at ranged, the reason it's spawning next to you is that it can proc on things such as Leech. I'm not sure why, but I did some testing to prove it. Lol.

Just did the math on this - ugrading a piece from 262 to 272 would increase your damage by roughly 15000+ in a 5 min fight while the procs on this would only do around 11050 as melee (much less if you're ranged). So if you came here wondering if putting this on a 262 would outvalue the stats on a 272 the answer is it definitely doesn't.

These can break crowd control >:( which significantly degrades its value for important CC encounters like Anduin.
