There is a spot at 44.65, 51.97 that if you stand just right (in between and on top of the spheres) you can tap it infinitely.

Obtained after 30 attempts, hang in there.

For whatever reason, I was able to continuously extract the forge at 55.21, 65.64. I got my Essence empyréenne in 2 minutes there, then farmed Fils d’éphémère to craft Orbe d’éphémère to obtain my Jaune d’œuf chargé d’anima (took 7 Orbe d’éphémère). Just use Siphonneur de Firim again when the purple disappears.

How to farm this optimally (with exactly 3 seconds of the CD between casts):

Go to /way 42.12 57.26 Two small spheres
Stand on the spheres so you aren't on the ground.
Use yourSiphonneur de rechange de Firim when on the center of the bigger sphere. The bigger one should go blue.
Move about half way down the big sphere towards the little one and use your item there as soon as it is off cooldown. The little one should go blue.
The big one should not be blue anymore, so go to step 3.

Blizzard I really am frustrated.....
This item doesn't even worth or do anything and yet there we go wasting hours on this

Edit #2 : i'm on orb number 43 and NOTHING yet, griding is now super slow, no motivation just because I lost hope and don't think it really exists..

Edit #3: it finally dropped on my 50ish orb..I wrote in chat just before opening "Lord of RNG, give me Anima Charged Yolk please" and it actually worked!

I cannot get the infinite tapping to work, I think they patched it out this week. I am standing on a half buried "medium" sized ball at 37.56, 65.74 and can tap 5 spheres by turning directions, moving up and down that one sphere before needing to wait for the balls to recharge. Not going to lie, I'm tabbing out to watch netflix as I wait the few minutes for recharge but at least there's no mobs and I'm not running around aimlessly. Even so, it's going to take a while.
Edit: If you run around the largest, there's a 6th ball to tap as there's no reason to stay off the ground anymore.

I feel conflicted, since the "infinite tapping" business is clearly not intended and abusing it is not even close to "clever use of game mechanics", but straightforward ethically ~~questionable~~ unjustifiable. It comes down to gaining an unfair advantage over fellow players (for the least because it will be fixed at some point). Of course, I know that Blizz themselves sometimes change mechanics and make things way harder (and providing an advantage to the early birds), but this is something I have to live with and Blizz ought to let it happen as less as possible. And yes, to me the 'advantage issue' applies to everything which changes the needed time to be invested for a given goal, not just M+ or Raid progess.

I usually file a bug report, immediately. Working as a professional in the software quality industry, I can do no other, anyway.

But the drop rate of Jaune d’œuf chargé d’anima from Orbe d’éphémère is low enough for me to feel teased and for some long damned moments I felt sorry for myself for not knowing this bug.

This is a personal thing and I don't want to condemn anybody, but I would very much like to know how others feel about such issues.

Orbe d’éphémère #15 yielded the Jaune d’œuf chargé d’anima I longed for (and also Clé de la cache de Provis and Géordy, each three times).

Since a forge's internal cooldown is (still) 3 minutes, I wrote a macro:#showtooltip
/timer 3:00
/timer play
/use Firim's Spare Forge-tapand bound it to a key I could reach without looking.
Then I found myself a forge to idle at and watched a movie, casually pressing the macro key on each friendly "ding".
I have had worse farming.

I just don't understand what blizzard is thinking when they decide the drop-rates for things like this. It feels like insecurity in their game if they think the only way they can engage us is to give us pointless grinds like this. I don't even know how many orbs I've opened. It's been hours and I just feel dejected.

This has got to be a bug, or really a whole stack of bugs. Blizzard, are you listening? Never mind, there's like 3 of you still working on this game's corpse.

The drop rate for Fils d’éphémère is maddenly low to begin with...and you need 15 to even make one Orbe d’éphémère. And you're going to need a TON of orbs.

Because...each Orb has a ridiculously low chance of dropping only two meaningful items, Géordy and Jaune d’œuf chargé d’anima. I don't even count the other 4 items because the 3 greens are basically consolation trash and the Clé de la cache de Provis is a 1 time unlock of a chest that has a stupidly low drop chance of a cypher equipment item you most certainly have already gotten a half dozen times by the time you actually get a key to open that stupid box, so again...more consolation vendor trash.

Be warned, this achievement/toy will take you DAYS if not WEEKS to actually obtain.

At least with the bugged forges you could infinitely tap it wasn't quite as insane an amount of time to invest, but it still was nuts even with that bug/exploit. With that now "fixed", this meta quest line is effectively broken.

The players that would consider farming this aren't going to quit due to running out of content; There is no reason for these ridiculously boring grinds to exist. You are alienating the players that enjoy hunting achievements while at the same time drawing in no one due to the absurdity of the grind and the lack of a real reward. Stop it.

I was lucky to get on my 5th try., but for the rest 50.48, 28.16 is a good farming spot, specially with realm hop. There are 6 orbs you can do in under 20 seconds.

I randomly went to the highest altitude in Zereth Mortis and finally I got the anima-charged yolk not sure how correct it is but just give it a try get your {ephemera orb} and then open it at the highest altitude in ZM . and it yielded the anima charged yolk for me.. just explaining my experience !

Hi all

I present Traversée des sphères to reach it you must Find 10 Items.

First speak with Firim to get Siphonneur de rechange de Firim. Firim is located in cave 35,2 45,6. Or do it when WQ Matières de la création is up ( when you finish WQ but you will not do Achi don't wary now you cen get this item from NPC ).

Then Use Siphonneur de rechange de Firim on Stone Orbs, You need to face them and is not working on all Stone Orbs, if You use item on Orb and nothing is happening just move to next one.

Main Reward from achivement is Sphéra Mortis but during it you can get Pocopoc espiègle, Géordy or Clé de la cache de Provis to open treasure Cache verrouillée de Provis.

The coordinates that I received these items are:

Extraction pollinisée: /way 68.8 67.8
- This spawns on any ball that has white flowers on. There aren't that many but the drop rate of this one seems pretty good.

Holotype alvéolé: /way 64.2 59.2
- This spawns near vespoid enemies. The east side has the most balls to tap.

Perturbateur instable: /way 48.8 93.8
- This one drops in the Catalyst Gardens at the bottom of the map

Essence empyréenne: /way 56.4 81.8
- This spawns in the grassy areas where no other items spawn. Where you first zone into Zereth Mortis drops these according to Wowhead.

Sable immatériel: /way 43.0 29.9
- This one spawns in the desert areas. Anywhere that has sand basically.

Précurseur instable: /way 42.8 59.8
- This spawns in the Forge of the Afterlives, the centre ring of Zereth Mortis.

Firmament chargé d’énergie: /way 48.2 30.2
- This spawns where the cosmic energy bar appears on the map. These forge's have gold liquid oozing from the bottom.

Pigment serein: /way 34.4 46.7
- This spawns in quiet areas, like Exile's Hollow

Near Firim's cave /way 32.7 39.3
- This spawns from forge's that are high in the air or outside the map

The Jaune d’œuf chargé d’anima is gained from collecting the Fils d’éphémère combining 15 of these, giving you an Orbe d’éphémère. Opening the ephemera orb has a chance to give you the yolk.

Farming tip.

Do it when Firim gives one of the quest where you have to use the Forge-Tap.
The orbs which can be tapped, has the lootable glimmer around them, even if you finish the quest. So after you are done, fly around the quest area, and you can tap those that you see glimmering.
After you tapped all the has the glimmer, abandon the quest, and reaccept it.
I dont know if it is because you accept the quest, but the tappable orbs seems to respawn instantly.

During Materials of Creation I got 47 Ephemera Strands under 30 minutes, by doing the above mentioned method.

During Hollow Efforts I got 45 Ephemera Strands under 30 minutes.

Edit: Must add... This part of the achievement is a grind. Each one attempt feels like 15-30 attempts because you've been farming and farming the strands, but it seems like everyone does eventually get it. Keep trying.

Did not really count how many "chests" I opened, but it took around 5 straight hours until I finally got it.
If I can give you a tip for your farm - be prepared to go for 5+ hours and choose a round-route around the mid of the map. At the end I knew very well which forge comes next, did not spend time looking around for them.

So far I've crafted 31 of Orbe d’éphémère and got 3x Géordy and 2x Clé de la cache de Provis, what in the world made Blizzard put in this unfun jank mechanic of scanning orbs, which not even all work for me and hide an achievement item behind a low droprate of a low droprate item. JEEZUS CHRIST! BLIZZARD!
