This is definitly a nice money saver, if you don't want to spend 300-400g on the Sinew, then just grind a couple AV games out. Might save you alittle in the long run. ;)

You do not need to purchase the sinew. It is a 100% drop off Azuregos, a world boss, and is a rare drop off the blue dragons in winterpring.

2 slots are not worth the 200 gold.

Well on a grinding (leveling session) two slots are worth it. Also in a wipe fest also two slots are worth 150-200 gold. Never underestimate quivers.

Is it true you can't sell this to a vendor? I got the clefhoof hide quiver and I want to sell the Harpy Hide. I can't, even though the tooltip sais it will sell for 8g 75s.

All all existing quivers were converted to bags in 4.0.1, and this quiver can no longer be purchased from the AV vendor.

Shame too, a 16 slot bag would be helpful for those leveling up, and probably a better investment of honor points than pvp gear that will get replaced in 10 levels.

Okay, let me clarify where WoWhead went wrong. First of all, the vendor as shown is NOT neutral. He will only sell to alliance. However, the ammo pouch and quiver are still available as of 4.2. I tried to buy from him on a lowbie toon and got stomped before I got there :) (Horde) Now, I believe these are ONLY available to HUNTERS. So if you're just looking for a good bag you're SoL. Also, I am not sure if only alliance can obtain these, but I THINK that horde hunters can also get theirs from their vendor as well. Again >HUNTERS< only.

in Cataclysm this quiver can still be bought, but (as all quivers) it has lost the quiver graphic effect on the back of characters and now acts as a regular bag

This is the same as any 16 slot bag now, you can put whatever you like in it.
