As level 56, I tried using the advanced herb picking skill on them (as they don't show up or highlight on the map). You can pick them then they open up but nothing is inside.

This was around honors hold.

this is a Horde only quest, so if u are ally and got some of those, just delete them...

You need 12 and they stack in amounts of 10 : /

While killing those skeletons at the Zeth'gor base a Hellfire Spineleaf dropped from one of them so if you loot the plant from any mob don't just delete it as you will need it for this quest and it will reduce the number of herbs you need to collect.
