I'm curious about the question that Thrall asked. Was it about the Mag'har perhaps, considering his later appearance at their town in Nagrand?

Most likely not about the Mag'har because he is surprised when he hears they still exist, wich the questline in hellfire shows you.
I'd honestly would not know what the question was about.

Nobody mentioned it, and it's not in the content for wowhead....
In case anyone was curious as to the "question" mentioned by some of the comments, Lor'themar Theron encloses an extra bit at the end of his letter reading:

"PS - Our grand magister has received word back from Outland regarding Thrall's question. The answer is, with great certainty, yes."

I'd like to know what the question was as well. :/
