Does anyone know what the REAL drop rate of this is, or how I can find out? I know drop rates are gimped since only tailors will see this drop.

Since this piece is a good transmog match for the frozen shadoweave set, I started farming the pattern from Steamvault on both difficulties on my level 85 shadow priest. The pattern dropped on my 4th non-heroic run.

Now to farm the primals necessary to actually make it!

Just had it drop on my 46th kill today, non heroic as confirmed earlier.

These BC patterns are harder to farm than you'd think. I've been farming them quite often on my main, as I'm trying to craft them for a lower level priest. I've killed this boss countless times, and still have yet to see the recipe.

I will confirm that this can be done on non-heroic difficulty. I got it on my second run, as for the drop rate I am usually not that lucky - two runs 1.4% drop, no no not me. The drop rate wowhead shows is most likely because there are no tailors in the group or for that matter in a solo run. I am not sure how the add-on they use works with regards to drop rates but my "guess" is it needs to be looted to be registered in the addon. Most of our solo runs we turn auto-loot off. A non tailor may leave it on the corpse. My point is there are many variables to that drop rate number.

Anyway... from reading results here my guess is it more like 20%+ for a tailor - no science there.
