A friend of mine had this key in his Keyring at max level, and being one of those types that likes to collect everything I can get my hands on I tried several times to get the key to drop. Finally verified by helping a lower level with the quest that it is unobtainable once you've done the quest.

I guess my friend just did the quest in a party, and never used his key. *sigh*

I've killed cho'war 7 times and failed to get the key each time...anyone else have this issue? it's getting a bit tiresome...

I tried solo to get the key and killed Cho'war the Pillager more than 10 times and didn't get it. Do I have to be in a group in order for key to drop?

To all you who are trying to get the key for the quest to free Corki, remember to first talk to Corki in the southern cave of the Warmaul Hill. Otherwise you cannot loot they key.

It dropped for me as a level 80, soloing without a group. Note that it does NOT take up a bag slot; it will appear in your keyring.

So if you kill him several times and are wondering why he doesn't drop it, check your keyring. It will be highlighted yellow, unlike most other keys, as it is a quest item.

Soloed as a 65 shadow priest in quest blues and greens (no BoA). Had to shift out and heal a few times, but you can pretty much just straight up dps him down if you shield on cd. Didn't have to use any pots. He is immune to psychic horror.
