These seem to despawn from your inventory if you are rezzed. Possibly any time you wipe. So if you are recovering from a wipe, make sure you pick some up on the way into the instance.

This item has a note "The Escape From Durnholde". As long as you stay in Old Hillsbrad you will have the bombs even if you die and are rezed. Dieing and releasing is the only exeption, where the bombs will not disapear (much like the Oculus drakes).
As a side note they don't seem to have limited charges.

In case you hadn't done this quest in a while and didn't read the the item distributor's text about using the item on the barrels inside the buildings, you have to use the item on the barrels inside the buildings.

Took me ten minutes and a restart of WoW to figure this out.

EDIT: The dragon now reminds you to grab one of these before he flies you to Durnholde.

You need to plant 5 bombs in 5 barrels inside 5 buildings. Just so we're clear.

When you enter the instance, talk to the humoid Erozion, he will give you these Incendiary Bombs. If for any reason you lose them, go back to him and get more.

Each one of the buildings in the pit at Durnholm has a darker-brown barrel. Place one Incendiary Bomb on each. You will need to kill the guards to do this.

The fires they cause will call Lieutenant Drake.
