This food may be more useful to healers in longer fights, such as bosses, when you want to maintain your mana pool as much as possible. The alternative is http://www.wowhead.com/?item=27666#z0z which is more suitable for short to mid-length fights.

The fact that this has both stamina and mp/5 makes it rather nice for a paladin tank, unless you feel like spending alot more gold on the 30 stamina/spirit food.

This food buff would not be better for healers then the golden fish sticks remember that the fish sticks have spirit on them and the spirit will give u more mana regen then the mp5. This is only true for druids and priests though, shamans and pallys take this food buff for those longer fights.
