In the Beta (build 8714), this can only be learned from the Manual, which is a drop, and it cannot be learned from Trainers. Unconfirmed reports from people on the Northrend test server say the Manual is a zone drop in Zul'drak.

I currently sit just over 18k unbuffed at lv 70 throw in the raid buffs sitting just over 22k raid buffed I was hoping to see a bigger jump in the bandages but looks like it's not gonna happen.

This is just fine as a replacement to the heavy netherweave bandage. I'm already happy they have a more speedy of a recovery bandage, and I wouldn't expect any more than this out of the frostweave. However, I will bet there will be another bandage or two before it's all said and done.

Note that Heavy Frostweave bandages vendor for precisely twice as much Frostweave bandages, and a full stack is worth 5 gold , 1 gold less than a full stack of Heavy Netherweave. For those of you that used to simply vendor your excess cloth in the form of bandages, you may wish to investigate alternatives, perhaps with a friendly tailor or the AH.

As a warlock with 3/3 Demonic Aegis and Demon Armor, it heals for 7308 over 8 sec, and 913-914 each tick vs 5166 over 4 sec, and 1291-1292 each tick for Dense Frostweave Bandage.

You will be seeing people push 20k health without problem in WOTLK

If that's classes like Mages and Rogues, just imagine what the Warriors and Warlocks are going to have. O.O

Oh, I think casters are just fine as they are. There's no need for "mana bandages"...

Mages have Evocation, Mage Armor and Arcane Meditation.
Priests have Meditation, Spirit Tap, Vampiric Touch, Shadow Fiend, Dispersion and Improved Spirit Tap.
Druids have Intensity and Innervate.
Warlocks have Dark Pact, Drain Mana and Life Tap.
Paladins have Seal of Wisdom, Judgement of Wisdom, Divine Illumination, Judgements of the Wise, etc.

Not to mention the Darkmoon Card: Blue Dragon for the particularly resourceful player. Nope, mana recuperation is just fine as it is.

To learn the skill you need 350 skill in first aid. It allows you to aquire skill until 450. When you skill up to 390, Manual: Heavy Frostweave Bandage can be acquired. It is a world drop so dont worry about farming for it. Doing any instance will propably wield it for you.

Bandages most likely never were meant to heal for more then 50% health in the first place...
Admittedly it isn't much but its something to keep you going
Keep your pots at the ready if I suppose

I think the main reason not to make them heal too much is that you can use them multiple times during combat (unlike pots, also note that only the Potion of Nightmares matches for health gained, albeit also as an overtime effect)

I dont get why bandages were weakened in BC, before Bc, a full epic geared 60 player would have like 4-5k hp non tank, and 2000 bandage was fine... but healing 5800 when you have 20k health and tanks can get as much as 30k....

Just a tip.

DO NOT bind bandage to F4. Slows down your leveling speed by a lot when you try to bandage yourself.

Found out this the hard way when trying to be smart late at night.

Due to a lot of people (still) doing the achievement, these are sometimes auctioned for less than the vendor price. If a stack of 20 is in the AH for less than 5g buy it or bid on it and sell it to the vendor. Easiest money ever made.

There's quite a gap between heavy frostweave, which heals 5800, and the next one, embersilk, which heals for 17400. Kinda sucks for those capped at 80.

If you're trying for Réserves, I suggest killing Northrend rares for a guaranteed Sacoche d'aventurier abandonnée, because they give 20 Étoffe de tisse-givre. These rares also give Exposition nord and progress towards Froid mordant. :)

Although the first aid skill was removed with the BFA Pre-Patch, the bandages are still available in the game and can now only be made by tailors. For all other professions the different types of cloth are still required for a couple of recipes. So check your recipes to see if you can use the cloth before you sell it through auction house or to a vendor.
