New recipe being added in 2.4 to ease levelling cooking from 250 to 300 without fishing and without having to farm very obscure and annoying content such as the worms in Silithus and the tubers in Dire Maul.

Has anyone actually seen this recipe? I am at Malygen in Felwood - from what I read he is spoz to carry this recipe after patch. I have been here for about 20 minutes just incase it is limited - so far no recipe...?

New to 2.4. The recipe is sold by Malygen (Felwood 62,25) if you are Alliance. For the horde the recipe is sold by Bale (Felwood 35,53). No limit on how many you can buy.

I don't know about anyone else, but I purchased this recipe at 296 Cooking skill and I can't seem to raise it to 300 because of both this and the other recipe being Grey...
Is anyone else having this problem, because if so, Blizz failed on a new patch to try and help raise cooking.

You can get to 300 cooking without fishing by getting Runn Tum Tuber Suprise in Dire Maul. That's how I did it.

■As of Cataclysm release, Bloodvenom Post no longer exists as a player base. Bale is no longer in the game, and as of 12/13/2010, there is no Horde vendor for these recipes.

The last three times I checked, Malygen, the Alliance vendor who used to sell this and the charred bear kabobs recipe no longer sells recipes at all. Got it from the cooking trainer at Goldshire, you must have at least level 250 cooking. Went on one of my Horde characters and the same applies-got it from cooking trainer Aska Mistrunner at Thunder Bluff.

I am now able to train 5 new recipes in Orgrimmar, from Arugi, despite her not having anything for me at cooking level 525 pre-4.1:

This item appears to no longer be available from vendors in Felwood, so I suspect that they were removed. Which makes me kind of sad since they were a huge source of income!

The recipe, however, is now trainable at most any chef.

confirmed that this recipe is available, as well as the other recipe using bear flank, in org from the cooking trainer (located in the drag).

As of right now, unless you got dirge's recipe, or manage to buy it, with the removal of the sporeling snack, you need both guild recipes to get the Iron Chef achiev.

I have all the recipes, except seafood magnifique, dirges, and thistle tea, and tho i got my Iron Chef achiev before the removal of the sporeling snack, and my total on ackis recipes list is 199.

A lot of what's already posted is outdated by far after the Cataclysm!
As of patch 4.0, this recipe is taught by your cooking trainer at cooking level 250.

In order to green this recipe out, farm about 40 x Flanchet d'ours. A good spot is Berceau-de-l’Hiver, from shardtooth bears just east of Starfall Village.

Note that this also combines greatly with farming Œuf géant for Recette : Omelette monstrueuse (bought from Himmik) to get from 225 - 250 cooking level, as they drop from owls and owlbeasts (moonkins) in the same area.

If you love achievements, make sure you try to add up more Denrées consommées, by spending at least one of the Flanchet d'ours for Recette : Steak d'ours juteux which is also taught by your trainer at cooking level 250.
