Si cela peut aider la communauté, voici une petite vidéo que j'ai réalisé où je présente plusieurs zones de farm qui selon moi sont les plus rentables. Elle date d'il y a quelques mois mais elle est toujours rentable, je pratique encore le farm de Dés régulièrement et il n'y a eu aucun nerf à la 6.1.

Grâce aux spots présent dans cette vidéo, je peux vous assurer d'expérencie personnelle que vous obtiendrez vos Dés très rapidement. Pour ma part je les ai farmé 1 fois pour ma collection de jouet, ensuite pour la revente.
Actuellement les prix des Dés ont légèrement chutés, surtout sur les gros serveurs mais ils restent une source sûr de Po actuellement.

I dare say that it is not a reference to "The Tenth kingdom" television series but more to the fact that when playing games with dice, a common phrase is "C'mon, Daddy needs a new pair of shoes!".

Also it would most likely have something to do with the fact that Trolls in WoW do not wear shoes, hence the lack of need for shoes when considering the above quote.

Unlike the Titanium Seal of Dalaran, this item seems to only show that your character "casually tosses his/her Worn Troll Dice."

Unless my pair is mysteriously broken, or my interface is blocking part of the message, I do not see any 1-6 roll. Come to think of it, I did win a pair of shoes with these suckers.

If you found all that scripting to be a bit overkill and you want to just use the dice then do a normal /roll 1 100 on the item you could simply make a macro that says

/roll 1 100

It doesn't make near as much *literal* sense as rolling twice for 1-6 ... but it makes the dice a little better than a complete waste of bag space on a non RP server :P

Prior to patch 3.1 I used these for my regular rolls with the following macro:

Unfortunately the patch added 2 1 in 6 rolls so they are now useless to me. Does anyone know how to prevent the 2 1 in 6 rolls from happening?

Actually, the reference stems from gamblers in Las Vegas who would often say (just before throwing the die), "mamma /pappa needs a new pair of shoes".

It's not in reference to the 10th kingdom line (as much as it's a great movie).

I found the best place to farm these are Skorn, you can just constantly go around in circles pickpocketing and by the time you get to the start they will be ready for plucking again so to speak.

Also in the above reference to The 10th Kingdom, I do believe this is the case because anyone who has watched it will remember the Relish the Troll King had 3 children who were all obsessed with shoes.

First go to the top of this page and click the red "Link" button and copy/paste that code in your wow chat or make it into a temporary macro to generate this item's link.

With this macro open in the macro menu make one space after the word "his" or "her" and keep your cursor there. Now hit Escape and then Enter to open chat with the macro menu still up. Copy the following into your chat frame but don't hit enter yet:

Now click between the " " in your chat frame and shift click the link you generated in step one, then hit enter.
If you did everything right your macro should look like this:

I was sort of disappointed when I found out these broke stealth. It felt very rogue-y to sneak up behind an unexpecting victim and casually roll for their life. Watching people freak out and spam AEs while trying to find who was rolling them would have been so much fun.

Whenever I use this item, the chat log shows 4 announcements for each dice and completely fills my chat screen.
Example:

Pickpocketed a troll dice off of one of the ogres in Swindlegrin's Dig, Sholazar basin.

Might have been one of the blue Venture Co. Ruffians. I didn't take note.

Wish I did. It's not listed as something you can pickpocket off them...

Edit: As part of the Daily Frenzyheart tribe rep quests, I pickpocketed the NPCs first. Got another off one of the female goblin Venture Co. Excavators today.

Rolling the Dice: A Pick pocketing Guide to Dice

What’s needed:
A Rogue (74 and up for Dés trolls usés and Dés nains décaèdraux) (83 and up for Dés gnomes pipés)
A will to not punch yourself in the face from a long grind.

Location: Skorn
Task: Stealth and Pick Pocket every mob in Skorn.
Skorn is probably the best place to gather your troll dice from. The mobs are plentiful and if you time it right you can make a loop (including landing on top of the towers with the mages and picking their pockets, keep in mind to do this you must have Cold Weather Flying, and fly high enough above they won’t see you, but not too high that you can’t land safely) and get back to your “start point” and have the mobs pockets refilled.
I personally start at the northernmost point, by the river, with the two lumberjack guys, and then work my way to the big building, and back around, find a path that works for you.

Location: New Hearthglen
Task: Stealth and Pick Pocket every mob in New Hearthglen
New Hearthglen is literally overflowing with mobs. Each one can be pick pocketed, even the ones riding on the horse. If you make a complete cycle through New Hearthglen, starting at the large front gates, you can circle around to the beach, and then travel up the side ramp, and be back around by the building with the archery targets, and cycle through. There is no-downtime here.
This place is fantastic for finding the dice, I personally have picked 3 of them from this particular spot. There is only one mob in the whole place that doesn’t drop the dice, and that’s the bishop in the small church by the stables.

Location: Maker's Ascent
Task: Pick Pocket every mob on Maker's Ascent and Kill them after.
How this works is to start at the bottom of the stairs, pick the two guys standing there (it is not neccesary to kill these two) then pick the groups of ten in a grid pattern so you don't miss one and you remember where you are in the pickpocketing. It makes it easier if you sap the elite infantrymen, as it stops them all in place and you can roll around easily. After you've finished a group kill them - there are two reasons for this - the first is they respawn faster then their pockets refill. The second is if you're not alone pickpocketing there, it'll signal to your fellow rogues that the group has been pickpocketed.
Work your way up the ramp, and once you make it to Ruins of Khintaset, you mount up, and fly back down to the bottom and you should have to wait only thirty or so seconds for respawns. Yes - they drop dice. On a side note, I've gotten world drop epics, patterns, and rares from the mobs after they've been killed, and it'll make a little extra gold for you.

Notes:
The drop rate is low. I spoke to a GM, and though they can’t tell you anything that you don’t already know, he gave me this advice, “Pickpocket a lot, every time you can.”
If the mob has Un roman d'amour torride : Un amour interdit, then they drop Dés nains décaèdraux. If they have Blague à tabac vide then they drop Dés trolls usés. At least this is what I’m seeing.
Typically Dés trolls usés drop from Trolls and Vyrkul.
Typically Dés nains décaèdraux drops from Humans and Dwarves.
Typically Dés gnomes pipés drops from any Cataclysm Humanoids who can be pickpocketed.
Keep in mind, there are always exceptions to any rules, but these are personally what I’ve observed.

From my experience if you want to farm this item on your rogue, camp Icefist. Pick Pocket him, kill him, and wait for him to respawn in 15-30 seconds. Just make sure you don't tick any questers off. This still took me awhile but I guess that's just my luck.

I just got a 3rd type of dice ingame, a Dés gnomes pipés. It always rolls 7 (one 4 and one 3). I pickpocketed it from a mob in the Well of Eternity and seeming from the small amount of posts on this items page I'm guessing it's a very rare item. I wonder if there are any more Cataclysm dices out there? Gotta catch'em all! : )

RNG is RNG but ... in 6.0.2, I spent several hours at Skorn farming for this with no success, and got it almost immediately after moving to Venture Co. Excavators in Sholazar.

Got all 3 of them. Some remarks:
Loaded Gnomish Dice dropped after 117 A Steamy Romance Novel: Big Brass Bombs
Worn Troll Dice dropped after 64 Empty Tobacco Pouch
Decahedral Dwarven Dice dropped after 233 A Steamy Romance Novel: Forbidden Love

Its a big competition for these items now with the addition of Toy Box. Keep your sanity, listen to some music and be nice to other players. There is no point trying to force an area with more than 2 rogues. Try again later or find a new spot. Goes a lot quicker.

If farming skorn, concentrate on the towers. 3.5min respawn, so pickpocket, kill, fly to next tower. By the time you're finished all 4, you'll have time for maybe 5-8 other mobs before the tower has respawned.

Farmed this at Skorn in Howling Fjord (Northwest over the river of Utgarde Keep for those w/o coords) (took about 2 hours in total). Can be slower if there are more people here doing this (as has been the case since the toy box introduction).

After a few hours of farming in more popular places without success (due to RNG and competition) I just decided to look for a place where noone seems to be farming. So I stopped at Gjalerbron and looted a dice just after 5 minutes. Hope this helps to those who find it hard to get it due to competition and want to find a calm place to farm.

Found mine pretty quickly from the Dark Zealots in icecrown (near argent tournament). The only negative about trying there was all the ppl doing dailies for argent tournament. I tried Hrothgar's Landing and Jotunheim before with no luck, but also was competing against others so farming was harder.

I highly recommend farming the mages at the top of the four towers in Skorn. By the time you have made a lap the first tower has already re spawned. The mobs are all packed together nice and tight which makes it easy to pick pocket them all, kill em and fly off to the next tower. Good luck and Happy farming.

If you re out of mobs to pickpocket... CRZ is your solution.. hop one or twice, make the pass and go back to your realm, mobs will be pickeables again.

I got my Worn Troll Dice in about 10+ passes on Hrotgar Landing (less than an hour)... quite cool place imo.

Three times I was looting Worn Troll Dice in Icecrown.
Three times i have tried on place left from Argent Tournament Grounds (65.21 and left) and nothing drops.
Then 3 times i tried on Hrothgar's Landing (north of Argent Tournament Grounds), there I got 3/3 Troll Dices and all of them droped near 56.22 location (east highland from the place where ships landed).
For pick pocketing I'm using Nightstalker and Burst of Speed talents + Glyph of Pick Pocket.

What I learned about the Kvaldir while pickpocketing for this:
1) If they don't get insta-ganked by a lvl 100 they'll die of high cholesterol from all the meat they carry.
2) They're heavy smokers - all those empty tobacco pouches.
3) They got no pride - an average of 6 silver per pocket won't get them better clothes, but that's no excuse for not brushing some of the seaweed off their arms.

My Guide Worn Troll Dice, Today we got a nice easy farm that is Rogue only up in Icecrown farming Worn Troll Dice. I got 3 of these in 1 hr so that is a 30k min per hr according too the Undermined Journal. Since the wrecking of Cross Realm Assist and Server Hop I revisited this one to see how it was working, I was pleased to find out a strategy that works great.

Hey Guys,

This is just a quick guide on farming Dés trolls usés in northern icecrown.
I will be pickpocketing the mobs:

Zélote sombre
Ritualiste sombre

I farm all 3 dices and have around 3 of each in my bags or AH at any time on my realm.
this farm is the easiest as it is quite close to the location i farm for Dés nains décaèdraux dice

The best way i found to do this farm is to leave your rogue in Icecrown and log on to pickpocket the route once or twice.

Before starting any farm ensure that you have Loot appraiser and TSM addons installed as they will make your life easier to determine if a drop is rare or not instantly.

Keep in mind that this farm only provides Looted item value and the items you find may sell instantly or may take days, weeks or even months to sell.

I picked 2 of those in a week during my daily runs of Utgarde Pinnacle for Skadi's mount. Just use pick pocket ability on all NPCs on the way to Skadi, and you will be good.

My personal preference for farming these is Combattant de Mjordin.
If you are a high enough level, you can pickpocket them, kill them in a hit, and move on to the next.
Their respawn timer is incredibly short, due to being a quest mob, and there are a large number in a fairly tight circle.
This means that your pickpocketing is fast, constant, and also gives you a chance at such things as Lich King BoEs (for transmog) and lots of frostweave, in a much quicker and tighter area than Hrothgar's.

Found out about those recently on Youtube and gave it a shot. I thought I'd start with Hrothgar's Landing NPCs first just to see how it goes and... Well I looted 2 of those in about 10min. I may have been insanely lucky but I feel like they might have increased the droprate for some reason.

I started on Northrend Loremaster with the intention of gaining the Worn Troll Dice, Decahedral Dice and the Simian Sphere. I haven't seen the last two at all but I now own eight Worn Troll Dice. I still have two zones to go for Loremaster. To my memory, there has been no overlap in where I find the dice.

Just pickpocketed from Kvaldir at Hrothgar's Landing. 367 attempts. I was starting to think something had changed in Dragonflight prepatch, when other comments were saying how quickly they got these! Finally dropped though, another toy in the box!

Currently doing Utgarde on a whole squad of alts and new/old mains trying for Protodrake, and there are two rogues. One my OG Vanilla Horde main, now level 70, and the other is an Alliance alt from Legion I never did much with other than level up to Legion cap. (Back then.)

Probably 12 runs on the 70 and 7 on the 45, halfheartedly pickpocketing when I remembered to (instead of just stealthing past everything to Skadi) and this dropped for me today on the 70.

Writing all this to say I noticed the 70 gets DRAMATICALLY more junkboxes than the 45. I don't know if this also affects the drop rate for this or other sets of dice, but if I decide I want to go for the other two I'm not doing it on the 40.
