This isn't 'THE' gem for anybody, it's pretty obvious if you're low on hit you're gonna socket your gear with these babies.

No clue as to where it drops at the moment, these will probably cost more then 10 badges, as the rares have taken that spot.

There is ONE Epic Gem... Kharmaa's Grace. 20 Resilience Rating. Bought from Wintergrasp Quartermaster for 20 Stone Kepper Shards. Nice PvP gem :)

Hit Rating gems are golden in WotLK! I need to have a Hit gem in all but two of my sockets to stay capped because the gear has so little of it!

When the next major content patch launches we will be introducing epic quality gems and updating the perks for each profession. Please keep in mind that any of this information may see further changes before the patch launches.

The design recipes for cutting epic gems will be made available for purchase with Dalaran Jewelcrafter’s Tokens and there are several ways to obtain raw epic gems:

* Prospecting Titanium Ore
* Alchemy transmutations
* Purchased with Honor
* Purchased with Emblems of Heroism

It appears that as of 4.0.1 Hit gems are no longer yellow but blue, it will probably make melee DPS geming much simpler as there was no real blue DPS gems before.
