Obtenue le 16/11/2022, je confirme donc que la recette drop toujours, je ne l'ai pas farmé activement étant donné que le spot est très mauvais avec un total de 15 mob environ qui mettent bien 5-10min a respawn mais j'allais les tuer en faisant mon weekly icc et ça a payé

Drops from Cultist Shard Watchers in Icecrown
There are 3 groups of them

2 groups on the lower bridge at 49.9 - 66.7 and 45.8 - 65.9
1 group on the upper bridge at 47.8 - 68.1
There are elites walking around, if one is walking towards a group, just wait until they turn around and you have all the time you need to clear that group of cultists.
I had to kill approximately 50 Cultist Shard Watchers before it dropped

Doesn't seem like you can discover a Cauldron of Mighty Shadow Protection Potion, because i made 12 potions and didn't discover the Cauldron recipe.

Here are the mobs that drop resist recipes for Alchemy (mighty protection potion), Enchanting (cloak enchant), and Leatherworking (fur lining):

Damned Apothecary (Frost)
Cult Alchemist (Nature)
Cultist Shard Watcher (Shadow)
Skeletal Runesmith (Fire)

After 1 hour of farming, i've decided to have a try at the other 3 resistance pots and they all dropped within 20-30 kills. Shadow however is kinda harsh since it havent dropped yet after 100+ kills. so its a bit luck and the sucky droprate can be confirmed for this one!.

Edit: after 137 kills i got it :)

Does anyone know if it is possible to get this from the Northrend Alchemy Research? I asked a GM and they stated that they could not release this information..... Any help? Thanks!

I finally got this today. Its a huge pain because theres maybe 12 that spawn at a time and if anyone else is farming it, its pretty much impossible. Out of all of the mighty prot pots, this one has got to be the worst to farm.

A word of warning: Miseria got it right when s/he said this one is the worst of the Icecrown alchemy recipes to farm. There are a total of 14 of these mobs in the whole zone. The respawn rate is aggravatingly slow, and the drop rate is terrible. The other recipes in this zone I obtained within minutes of arriving at the locations of the relevant mobs, but this one took hours. Literally: hours. Be prepared to drop some time into this one. And if somebody else is already farming it - just go gather herbs or something. Otherwise your blood pressure may elevate to dangerous levels. :)

I got this off of one of these while I was doing the Taking Battle to the Enemy daily where you have to kill 15 cultists. So Alchemists; do these together. =]

Not sure if the drop rate was improved in 3.3, but I got this on my first kill... I know that's not a particularly scientific sample size, just saying - don't give up hope based on the above comments!

Blizz has made certain Enchanting recipes, such as those that drop in Kara, a 100% droprate.

Alchemy recipes like these no longer have any use, except for those of us who like to complete our professions by having everything available.

With that being said, it would be EXCELLENT if Blizz would up the droprate, so we don't have to spend hours grinding old school misc stuff.

I was one of the lucky ones, I guess. I landed at a group of 4, killed them all, and the recipe dropped for me.

In case anyone is a little confused as to where the cultist shard watchers are, they are at Corprethar: The Horror Gate. I had to type /tar cultist shard watcher and follow the target icon on my minimap to finally find them. The wowhead entry for the cultists wasn't exactly that helpful.

Just farmed all of the Mighty Protection recipes in about 30 minutes. If you're a completionist, these are easier to get than the wowhead drop rate makes it seem. The NPCs that drop them don't have a very long respawn rate, and there are a lot standing around in the camps for most of them. For the Mighty Nature Protection, make sure to kill all of the NPCs in that courtyard to force respawns. I tried ignoring the Damned Apothecarys but then the Cultists stopped spawning.

85 kills til it dropped. The others were all pretty rapid, even the skeletal runesmiths (fire) with 40.
