Quest may be bugged, as only the central ship with the Vrykul in circles can be killed with this.
The vrykul on the other ships that are fighting with the blood elves can't be targeted.
Also you can get multiple credits off one Kraken.
Edit: Yeah, as below comments have stated, the Vrykul on the middle ship are the only ones needed to kill for the quest.

These apparently scale with either character or item level. I am now hitting for over 100k, which means I can actually kill one in a single pass.

You're probably here because of the You can't use that here message.

As the quest description states, you need to mount an Argent Hippogyph.

These are called Stabled Argent Hippogryph and can be found outside the Argent Tournament tent, where you started the quest. They have a 'Speech' cursor instead of the usual 'Green Arrow' vehicle cursor.

This quest is then completed on-rails as the hipporgpyh flies. There seems to sometimes be some sharding/phasing issues as it flies around (the Kraken may vanish as you fly around).

The cooldown on the item is quite short and spammable, so try to get all 8 clicks on a single kraken :)
