Channeled for 4 secs, and every 0.5 second it will cast Origami Beetle that will summon NPC #47968 for 14 seconds. This means a swarm of 8, most likely bugs, that will escalate and swarm at full strength for 10seconds, before it starts to disappear. From start to finish, it will take 18 seconds before all bugs are gone.

Just got this technique today. The beetles you summon swarm out like the Limon en origami do. It seems create three large and four or five small ones per use. Large ones are brown or white. After a few seconds the beetles burst into flame and disappear. This seems to be a zone drop in Uldum like the Technique : Limon en origami technique in Vashj’ir and the Technique : Rocher en origami technique in Le Tréfonds.

If you're trying to think of something to do with these without going out of your way, bind the /use along with your scrolls to amuse your party while your buffing up.

The spawned beetles are untargetable and do not appear to be killable with AoEs. I myself wonder if this item would be a means of getting into combat to be able to use Désengagement. The search for such an item continues...

I had to make 18 of these to go from 509 to 510. So it may take forever but it does work. (I came here while they were crafting, wondering if there was a hidden cap since making them is so cheap.)

Curiously enough, these vendor for 12.5 silver each, yet the cost to make them from the vendor is about 36 copper each. I can't think of a similar situation where you can make gold just by buying/selling from a NPC vendor. You can make a decent amount of gold while AFK if you set your scribe to make a couple hundred of these at a time. Just make sure to have bag space!

EDIT: Like the comment below, this method no longer works. Stick to making your darkmoon cards.
