I talked to a GM just minutes ago who confirmed that this pattern is not ingame anymore (4.0.6).
He couldn't tell me if this pattern will be available again any time in the future.

Must be the same for the gloves, too... esp. if the NPC that sells both (even on a limited availability) has been removed from the game... :-/

While this item can no longer be acquired from the vendor (who was removed from the game) the pattern can still be found occasionally on the Auction House. I still have an unlearned copy of this pattern that I purchased before the Cataclysm. The pattern remained in my bags and can be sold/traded.

While the pattern is no longer available, the Cape en écailles de déviant it creates has been dropping for people in the Grosse caisse de marchandises de récupération. Check out the Auction House if you are interested in that item. It might be there.
