A system of mirrors which reflects the light from distant objects in a manner such that the final image is magnified when presented to your eye. I'm no expert on optics, but I can tell you this is a real concept used in both gun scopes and telescopes. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can elaborate better on the details of how mirrored optics work. ^^

Update! I did some more research and apparently a reflecting design is popular in telescopes, but tends to make the diameter of the scope too large to be practical in sniper usage. It also introduces too many visual abberations for precision targeting. The usage in telescopes is due to a priority on needing to gather as much light as possible from very distant sources (like galaxies), whereas over terrestrial distances with normal lighting this isn't necessary and more visual precision is preferred instead.

So, Azeroth's engineers are basically trying to convince you to duct-tape a telescope onto your rifle. Sounds pretty normal for Engineering. ^.~

Stuck this on a Arc ancien en os charmé, traded it to my hunter alt..."Enchantment Requires Level 80." Oh well, at least it was cheap.

As of 5.4 enchantments are now scaled to levels, useable on all lvls, therefore twinks
-TESTED LVL 19 hunter twink - when procced gives 34 crit rating. very good, gave me 11% (16%-27%)

When applied to a weapon, it shows up as "Enchanged: Mirror Scope" as opposed to some others, namely Détecteur de menace R19 showing up as "Enchanted: +44 Critical Strike" (Since it is critical strike now that hit was removed.) The same as some weapon chains vs other ones.
